William Mckinley

I would love to see you react to deedz part 😺

sam

I hope the snowboard mention was about Chuuch

Jeremy vanlandingham

What do u think Abt the new luke blovad content? It's like beyond comprehension

Ashton Ormsby

Alright you gotta review the new DEEDZDEEDZDEEDZ part, we know how you feel about his swag

Benjamin White

Loved this. PLEASE do Video Days (or at least Gonz's part or J. Lee's part). Tim and Henry's Pack of Lies was the perfect kickoff pick. It's a super important video that's always been in the shadow of Video Days, yet it's grown in stature and relevence over the (many) years. Was hoping you'd get into the story of early bLind; how Gonz and J. Lee had bailed by this point and Jovontae Turner was the first am, but that's for the next video (hopefully). BTW, the first three 101 videos are also ripe for this format since they're all under 10 minutes. There's also Lotti's Now 'n' Later part. I really appreciated this review/analysis/tangent w/ young Hater.

What snowboarding have you been watching, Joa?

KapZachlan

Much more of these please

Theodore Barrow

Will LaCosta

A Visual Sound would be good later in the series.

Fuck my life

Jimgrecojacket

this sounds like a lame almost parody like comment but joa how the fuck have you not see video days you virgin nerd

Patrick Smith

Crazy how much more flippy and tech this is compared to video days which id seen before. Enjoyed the vid J.

Garrick Slings

Especially considering how many kids want to become pro skaters but won’t despite having the skill for it, I can sort of understand why people would be upset

JP

Ted + Joa watching old videos and riffing on skate past and present is a winning formula. Hoping for many more like this.

Eugene

Keep doing these videos with Ted Barrow, he's a treasure trove of knowledge

Garrick Slings

As someone who works two jobs, nobody really wants to work and most people feel no real motivation to go to their job. People like pro skaters are the same they are just able to say fuck it and drink alcohol and not film for a year. They do have to deal with public backlash unlike average people but the average working guy still has to worry about their boss and coworkers reactions or letting them down (or worse losing their job). No hate just wanted to say this in regards to what you said about unproductive pros

Garrick Slings

Never thought about it like this but this is probably pretty accurate damn

Aidan Holtz

do we have any young gifted footagey? if so i need that so fucking badly hahah, vintage gifted skating would be so dope

Nick Redwine

Good stuff as always, Joa. I would love to see you stream on Twitch more often, I really enjoy your streams. (sorry if you hear that a lot)

Benjamin White

PS - Ted Barrow is an excellent co-reviewer because as an "old head," I can confirm that he definitely knows his shit.

Benjamin White

Excellent choice for the retro review, Joa. I appreciate your consideration and execution of the "old video part review" request. bLind's "Tim & Henry's Pack of Lies" was practically the antithesis of the Plan B "Questionable" video, which was released around the same time. It was a short, sharp shock in a low key package, but featured equally progressive (and arguably more impressive and stylish) skating, especially from Henry Sanchez, Guy Mariano and Brian Lotti. Definitely the best of the under 10 minute videos from the 90's World camp, along with 101 "SNUFF".

Davonb

Yes very cool Mr. Theodore Backside Tailslide.

Gabriel Snyder

I’m only like 20 in but this is great. Joa, you should bring a classic video from your childhood. I know we’re the same age and I think something like Almost Round 3 would be sick. Shecklers part was so inspirational for me and my friends hahahaha. Could be interesting with Teds perspective on it

Andrew Kristof

at around the 41:45 mark Ted brings up how hardgoods will never make a profit and made me think abt your last video. You said something along the lines of nike atleast has the decency to not put their logos on a board, I dont think that decency exists i just dont think theres enough profit for it, which is why we will never see corporate hard good brands. Love the videos joa keep posting 🤘💯

microwaverr

patreon idea: throw out like 10 retro videos you'd be interested in watching and let us vote for the next one

Will LaCosta

Thanks Joa for listening to me whine about not having enough old head shit.

tristen schern

This made me realize the only older videos I've seen are like, Mouse and The Chocolate Tour. Never really made the effort to watch and learn about older skating. This wuz tite
