Ghost

Yay character growth

Steven McNeeley

Thank goodness, I love the revision. So much better and this version of reinforces why I love this series

FarFromLogic

wow, I love this rewrite so much more, I still want Mimir to meet his end but his realisation of how far he fell makes him as a character so much more interesting and human, he's almost like one of those conspiracy guys, getting flooded with too much info and not enough context, thinking he's a savour whilst actually just being a criminal Ironically he has information but lacks the wisdom to truly understand it and him coming to realised just how blind he has become with his all seeing eyes is pretty poetic

Floyd Ziegler

really enjoy the way that this second version is fleshed out

Gemiae

That, and his last line reminds me of Anakin right after he chooses Palpatine and becomes Darth Vader. If there’s any further similarities, Martin is just going to commit harder

Marquess

And yet, he can’t stop now, can he? If he wants to see his dream for the future become reality, he’ll have to continue, no matter how many lives he harms along the way. In that regard, he’s not too different from Sonya.

CHoobler

I think this ending is way better

Gemiae

“The first realization trickled in. Mikayla was gone, that was why he could see her. The compounding of what he’d done and Pandora’s frantic effort to save the girl had left nothing behind.”

ChaosOmega98

Is Mikayla still alive?

Personally compared to before I like this ending much more. Heck in just this chapter you have kinda made Mimir seem more real I guess I would say? Like without this chapter and what happened he always seemed to not grow as a character after he got his powers. But now he seems to have gotten out of the Pandora sickness and even gotten some more sense knocked into him. Now I want to see what happens next with all of them. Very nice ending 👍 and thanks for the book

Blake Martin

Way more dope than the first version!

Gemiae

Honestly, I like this version a lot more. I didn’t have many problems with the original, but Otis’ portion is much more engaging, and Mimir is much more fleshed out this time. Much smoother and impactful, and doesn’t get us bogged down in his surface-level hypocrisy he showed us through the book
