🕑 Added 2025-11-18 15:00:14 +0000 UTCIn 2020, as COVID shut down the world, Marissa Pianko stumbled onto a 2005 cold case she couldn’t shake: Angela and Joel Watkins, a couple in their 60s found dead at the bottom of a ravine, their deaths ruled homicides with no killer ever identified.
Looking for purpose—and an escape from the monotony of lockdown—Marissa recruited three women she knew, not close friends but each with a useful skill set. Together, they began digging into the Watkins’ business and family history and quickly uncovered secrets the police had never connected.
What started as a distraction soon pulled them into unexpected challenges and moments of real danger, revealing just how complicated—and risky—the truth could be.

I think you’d like the book. It does read like a novel.
