The steering committee was nice enough to let me take a break, since writing and illustrating informative stuff alone can exhaust the inspiration after so many months. So they've allowed me to take a break, which is why the comic reward post is broken up into two parts.
Please enjoy this. The next post has the first page of a Penelope story I've had brewing for a while, that got the most votes in the last steering committee poll. It should be a small-ish comic, and once it's done, I'll go back and wrap up the last remaining entries for Mistress Theressa. But I had to take a break and draw something light and narrative, or I was going to go nuts.

Great work with the Skrat here Jay! You're good at giving these species designs more of a fantasy feel than your more modern setting character designs and the Skrat are an excellent example of you doing that well, especially with their eyes. Also making them seafaring feels very fitting since rats were known for getting aboard ships, and it feels so clever I'm surprised I can't think of any other fantasy setting that's really done that. Nice work with the different clan flags and territory too, those kind of details work well for adding more depth to the setting! On the art side, there are lots of great scenes here! This whole series has had many multi-character scenes and you've handled them very well, with this Skrat section showing that off nicely. You're good at handling the composition of a scene when many characters are involved. Also the scene with all the females on the male Skrat was fantastic, it showed the contrast between them nicely plus the lipstick marks were a great detail! And the bottom scene on that page has a top-tier belly bulge too, and again the scratch marks are a great detail! Thanks again for doing such high quality work for your comics Jay! Best of luck with all your artwork!

Thank you Jay, this is a serious endeavour and a really dense work with a huge amount of informative detail, information and depth. I am thoroughly enjoying it, but am SO glad you are taking a break to do lighter stuff for a bit. Being married to a Paleo/fantasy/furry critter artist myself, I know exactly how important that breaking is. As always, a loyal fan and rooting for you! This content is awesome. Hoping to go up a tier or two sometime soon, and join the steering committee myself 😁
