Cottonwine Lore - Hermetic Account of Creation
🕑 Added 2024-07-24 20:26:48 +0000 UTCYes, I'm publishing lore as I find the time to decorate the pages I've written. I decided to start with the best estimation of the metaphysical nature of creation, which lays the foundation for a system of magic and supernatural phenomenon custom to a fantasy world. Technically, this makes the world high fantasy, but for most in it, it behaves as low fantasy, since the astral is rarely accessible, blah blah.
I borrowed the term "Hermetic" to refer to a philosophy of discerning a guess at the nature of the universe, spiritual and material, by collecting ancient mythologies and trying to create a canon. There are many other philosophies and religions besides this.
You'll notice the writings have a by line. They are written by a character who lived in the universe, with all his biases, knowledge, and ignorances intact. The rest of the lore presentations will be written by others, with the understanding of the flawed narrator phenomenon working here. Just like our histories in real life.
I know this is very boring for most of you, but it's kind of fascinating to me. Thanks for indulging me. There will be more to come in steady drips, including writings about factions, history, races, and professions.

I think that lore tells about the spirits and its layers. It's good to have a little bit lore in the erotic world.

I think what they're asking is if your Cottonwine lore could be -translated- into DnD. I've seen other original species and lores gets adapted to DnD settings and mechanics.

LORE! Gimme! Thank you for gracing us with this gift. ^-^ Even if it's not the most popular thing, I can say for certain that those of us who -will- enjoy it, will enjoy it enough to make up for those that aren't interested. hehe

It’s pretty cool that you put the effort into living through the characters life to write it. So much writing is half-assed these days. It’s also really rewarding to yourself to get to work on that kind of project ^.^

Lore is like the Salt in the Soup. It makes everything more interesting. LotR would be only half as good as it is without it's deep Lore.
Kalel The Protogen
ooo cool

Considering this all started with a comic framed around Mary Ann telling a story at a slumber party, I like to think this universe sprung from her as well, à la St. Elsewhere's Tommy Westphall. Maybe she became a successful erotic fiction author.
