Sex Education - 1x01 “Episode 1” FULL REACTION

I just finished binging this entire series (so far) and I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW SO MUCH. I saw you reacted to it awhile back and was hoping this full reaction was still up! This entire cast is so amazing, and your reaction to this episode was perfect. I really hope you do continue with it and I can't wait for you to see more! I know you'll love it! :D

Weirdly Sex Education was a show I didn't like at first- like very much didn't like- then one night just binged the whole lot and a few episodes in really began to love it. -probably me being ace had an influence on that, and also the strange american aesthetic took me a while to settle into. But once I kind of understood the show's tone etc. I really liked it- I just learnt to skip/mute the sex scenes... Rewatching this I'm finding it a lot funnier than I did first time around. The comic timing is really great.

Now I have to decide if I want to watch the show right away and just come back for reactions or wait and just watch it with Liam. I'm so indecisive that the result with probably be to wait by default.

The song 'Dancing with Myself' isn't actually about masturbation, although I think that's kind of become the accepted idea of it. It was written in 1979 when Billy Idol was still with the punk band, Generation X. They were doing a tour of Japan & Billy & Generation X bassist Tony James were struck by the sight of Japanese teenagers at a disco dancing with their own reflections in a mirror, rather than dancing in a group or with each other. I believe it's actually the Generation X version of the song they use in the soundtrack as well.

Didn't know anything about the show, and I got a bit lost at times because accents, jargon and stuff, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll probably follow it when you get back to it
