🕑 Added 2025-05-18 21:59:05 +0000 UTCHey folks! Quick update for you hear but I've been back to work on MetalMercs and feeling good about some of the new progress. As you know, I took a 30-day break to decompress and work on a totally different project last month (Deck of Stabs). Working on Deck of Stabs served many purposes, from staving off burn-out and giving me a break, to giving me a new project to experiment with in Godot and spend some time learning how to properly setup Control nodes, to brushing up on my pixelart skills and learning a little better how to make art on my own. It's safe to say that on all fronts its has helped, and I'm returning to MetalMercs with fresh eyes and new enthusiasm!
So, I'm optimistic we will have a new Godot-based demo in the near future. I will say more as it becomes an absolutely certainty but for today I wanted to share some upgraded weapon tooltips I whipped up today. This isn't necessarily the final form of things but it's remarkable how much faster you can get this stuff done in Godot compared to Python!
