If the judge wanted to be petty he could convict her with involuntary manslaughter. There is a movie in the conjuring universe called the conjuring the devil made me do it that kinda covers the "can a possessed person be convicted" scenario, excellent movie, would recommend it.

Micah is easily one of the most annoying horror protagonists, but it's somehow not enough to ruin my enjoyment of the movie. The empty void sound when the demon approaches the camera always creeps me out.

I really hope you continue this franchise and MY GOD would i love to see your reaction to The Blair Witch Project and even the sequel which was so different than the first but i loved it. Theres not many reactions I've seen to it.
