Ahhhh , A nice sweet coming of age film for October! This movie makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! A young girl , becoming a woman. A loving mother with good , upstanding religious moral values , that cares. High School Memories to last a lifetime. And a "Cinderella Story " for Prom Night. *Sighs They just don't make em like they used to. *sniffs I;m going to my "Prayer Closet" now. Peace

Super religious people in life and the movies are atoning for something or trying justify something that has happened in their own lives. It's kinda sad to be honest. People only believe when they have nothing left.

Hell yeah, I'm on this one tonight! So a few things. As someone else already mentioned, you probably recognize the teacher who made fun of Carrie for calling Tommy's poem beautiful from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The girl with the red baseball hat (actress PJ Soles) really did get knocked out with one of those fire hoses during filming. The water hit her in the ear and busted an eardrum and she fainted at the end of that scene. Yes, in the book, there is a scene where Carrie caused a rain of stones to fall upon the house. They filmed something like it, but in the end didn't feel like the effect was that great so they cut most of it (you can still see the stones crashing through the ceiling in some parts). Carrie's distress over killing her mother and probably just overall since she had a crappy prom just sent her powers into overdrive at that point, lol.
