Agree 100% on Del Toro's 2004 "Hellboy"! Even "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army" is as good, or better than the original. Ron Pearlman is great in the lead role. I think J would love them both Echo.

I absolutely looooove this film!! I really like most of Guillermo Del Toro's movies, The Devil's Backbone (one of his earlier films) is very good. :) I shall try to help you Brother J...IMO, I feel this story is both. It could be real and she is the only one who can see/interact with the 'other' world creatures, or it could all just be the detailed imagination of a lonely little girl. The movie doesn't delineate which it is and leaves it up to the viewer to decide how they want it to be. That's what makes it such a good story. :) And it is sooo beautiful visually with great costumes for Doug Jones to wear (the faun and the pale man). I highly recommend watching Guillermo's Hellboy.

At first I just saw the Labyrinth, and then I saw Pan's Labyrinth and I got a bit heartbroken lol. But this is a good movie. :)

I was so torn when I saw this the first time. I had no idea it was in Spanish so that threw me off and the ending kinda made me mad. After multiple viewings I've come to appreciate it more. Plus Doug Jones was great

Unrelated question, what does 'buck wild' mean? Watching BTTF1, you said it when his mum drank liquor, and this was a phrase I heard 30 years ago but never understood.
