Chris, you are not old. :) My childhood was in the 70s/80s but my adopted parents were older when they got me so I was raised with a lot of "older" things like movies, music (8-tracks), values, etc. I so remember the Rudolph & others stop motion films (I really liked the Little Drummer Boy one(1968) but my faves of Rankin/Bass are the hand drawn animations like The Hobbit (1977), Return of the King (1980), and The Last Unicorn (1982). They were drawn by the folks that went on to open Studio Ghibli after they left Rankin/Bass. And, Rankin/Bass co-produced the show The Thundercats (1985) which I would glue myself to the tv after school to watch and never missed one episode!! Thunder, thunder, thunder Thundercats!

The one Rankin/Bass film I remember most wasn't animation, but stop motion. "Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer". I guess I'm showing my age, huh Echo? LOL I spent my childhood in the 60's. When you had to turn a dial to change channel's. Channel two thru thirteen! After the plastic dial broke off, Gramps would put a set of vise-grips on it. LOL

Brother J, I would love to see you react to more animation, especially the ones that are not Disney/Pixar even though I love their animations. But there are some real gems from Don Bluth and Rankin/Bass from the 70s & 80s. :)
