The top 5 from each 25 mega poll will make a 20 movie poll next week that will make up tha actual community poll. You all did amazing with suggestions, and there are some absolute bangers all over these polls. If you watched both Fried Green Tomatoes and Gilbert Grape, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, J, your Boo Kathy Bates is in FGT! So I definitely think you should watch that too either way. It’s such a beautiful film. It’s perfection. And don’t forget….the secret’s in the sauce! 🍅

Blank, you are a STAR! ⭐️ Love you guys! So my baby girl, my first cat, is extremely poorly and it’s not looking good 😢 Seeing some of the best films I’ve ever seen on this list is incredible! And I’m so happy that two of them are so far winning the race! Kathy Bates in FGT is HILARIOUS, lovely, and as someone else said, is J’s Boo. It’s a shame he can’t watch both that and Gilbert Grape, as it’s the role that put Leo up there as one of the best actors in the world, and Johnny Depp also is incredible in it (obviously….it’s JD!!!!!!!! Lol). But if FGT wins I’ll be so happy. J will love the old southern style, KB, Jessica Tandy and Mary Stuart Masterson play SENSATIONAL roles, it’ll have your body covered in goosebumps when the final music kicks in! It’s given me them just writing about it! 🥺 Thank you for such an amazing poll, and for it coming at a time I really need some love and some J time! The Beaufort Ball was filmed at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park and Scorcese had the interior redecorated in authentic 1870s period decor and the club members loved it so much they kept it permanent.

The opening twenty mins of The Age of Innocence IMO rivals anything in Scorsese's entire filmography. One of the most stunningly shot and edited sequences I've ever seen. The movie itself is a great hidden gem in his catalogue. I'm excited for J to eventually get to more Marty classics like Taxi Driver, King of Comedy, Gangs of NY, The Departed, and Wolf of Wall Street.

I'm probably going to get ridiculed for this, but would you consider reacting to Scorcese's 'The Age of Innocence'? Not a single person on YouTube has. It's a romantic drama, brutal and beautiful. Scorcese called it his most violent film but it's totally ignored by mainstream viewers because it stands outside his main body of work. Stars Daniel Day Lewis and Michelle Pfeiffer. :)

Fried Green Tomatoes are good. The movie and the food 😄 I grew up in the north, spent all my life here, however, my grandmother was from Mississippi and my grandfather was from Louisiana, so red beans and rice didn't miss me 🍅 🍗 🥧

Brilliant Renee! But for some reason when I read it I heard the traditional flat toned fast speaking male voice that is the race announcer in all the horse race movies I have seen. LOL

Of course, frost, I'm gonna advocate my own vote. (All good flicks, but FGT would be my last vote.) PDL isn't an Adam Sandler movie; its from the writer/director of There Will Be Blood and Boogie Nights. It's... different. The trailers not bad.

Someone mentioned polling was like horse racing in one of the comments. So I'll be the impromptu announcer for the races. Aaand, Benny and Joon is slow out of the gate! Real shame, there's potential there but they're an unpopular pick! But second to that Fried Green Tomatoes was definitely on tap to make the run for the gold! Gilbert Grape ain't having it! Let's see if they can keep the lead!

All such great films!! Voted for Gilbert Grape because Leonardo Dicaprio did some of his best work in this film. Amazing, heartfelt story. Fried green tomatoes is a must watch as well.
