2023 Week 27 Poll: Blank's Birthday Picks!!!
🕑 Added 2023-06-19 16:12:13 +0000 UTCWhat up heathens! I know last week we asked about preferred polls, and the overwhelming winner was "Movies that need more reactions". Well, that poll will be here next week, since I forgot this was my birthday week picks. So basically, you guys are getting the same poll twice in a row (movies that haven't been reacted too much), only this week is solely my picks. So if there's any complaints, direct them at me. LoL
These are all movies all near and dear to me for one reason or another, and most don't show up on any reaction channels very much. So let's change that. Next week, it'll be "Movies that need more reactions", but it'll be more from J and your suggestions. This week? It's all about what Blank wants. So let's get these picks in, and feel free to drop/like suggestions in the comments for some movies for next week that need reactions. We have a few planned already I think for next week, but also do want to see if there are any you all overwhelmingly want to try to get on a poll. Anything that stands out and is mentioned liked more than usual, we will do our best to include.
As always, you guys are the best, so get those votes in ASAP and let's see what's joining The Patriot for the 4th of July week on the channel. Good luck!

Sooner or later I'm just gonna schedule it. I get tired of seeing it lose, too. LoL
Manospondylus
The Sum of All Fears
Sequiro
Ravenous loses again damnit lol *sigh* I love that damn movie. I will vote for it every time though.
frost1977
Space Cowboys is my first pick but its not going to win and Maverick is the only other one I enjoy so i will throw my vote there.
Alberto Blanco
The original "From Hell: was an 80s Sherlock Holmes movie called "Murder by Decree" identical plot no credit given.
Hot Indie Media
Wow! I did not know that about Jeffrey Jones and J just watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off :-(
Hot Indie Media
but James Garner is brilliant in "Space Cowboys" :-)
Hot Indie Media
"Space Cowboys" was directed by Clint Eastwood so we know J will love it :-)
Hot Indie Media
yeah, I just added a new comment asking to see if anyone would consider changing their votes
Hot Indie Media
"Space Cowboys" was directed by Clint Eastwood and it stars Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, James Garner and James Cromwell to name a few so kind of sad that it's not doing better in this poll. Oh well, I hope that maybe a few votes can be changed because we all know how much J loves those Clint Eastwood films.
CinWin
You know what movie needs way more reactions and I just know JL would love is, The Replacements!!
Echo Moon
Cocoon is such a sweet film. I think J would like it. :)
Crypt0sis
Lol I have never seen any of these movies, most of em I never heard of before so Ill just not vote on this round
LeSheezy
Noooo ugh Powder is a beautiful movie. That's a bummer
T.J. Gengler
Agreed, I'm a bit surprised at it's poor showing in the poll.
Beverly Dancy
I honestly don't remember any of these. But never seen anyone react to Cowboys vs Aliens, The Indian in the Cupboard, Cocoon, Bubba-Ho-Tep, or Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter?
Hot Indie Media
Space Cowboys is one of my all time favorites
Echo Moon
Sorry, sorry...I have two more suggestions and then I'll stop. LOL (we all know I can't stop) Overboard (1987) the one with Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell and Batteries Not Included (1987) with Hume Cronyn/Jessica Tandy. Both are just fun good films I think J will enjoy and not too many people react to these. :)
Jonathan Patrick
Haha same

I think since it’s Blank’s birthday coming up, he/she (idk and idc, you can eat my underwear) should get to pick whatever he wants. Even if he thinks we won’t care for it. But I trust his judgment that it would be something Murder would appreciate.
g g gooding
Ahhhh! I didnt know that. Crappo. SO many Jeff Jones movies...dangit. Gross. So many movies I dig just got tarnished right now! (Tbc, NO shade at you, LeSheezy. You gave me some Truth, and I appreciate that, truly and deeply. Really, I do. But rack-a-frackin dangblangit!!!...) 😔
Chris Baldwin
Well, Happy Birthday Blank!! I wish I could give you something, but all I know you collect are comic's, right? I'll slip something nto the next "Care Package" for J. Now a suggestion for next weeks poll. How about "Collateral", with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx? It's a Michael Mann film too, so that's good. Later Blank!!
g g gooding
The shark in Joe is easily one of my favorite moments in any movie, ever. Thats all I'll say about that.
g g gooding
I'd hope for both. The '62 one is of course a cornerstone of cinema that holds up (except for maybe Henry Silva playing a Chinese man) but Jonathan Demme's remake is shockingly good! (You know that, of course, Echo.)
g g gooding
Don't get me wrong, CHUD aint bad - but 2 has practically *nothing* to with 1. And 2 is...well...its special.
ChickensAreRacist
Hey Blank! Happy birthday coming up.
Echo Moon
I feel the same way about Powder (1995) and Jeepers Creepers (2001) because the writer/director went to jail for child porn and videoing a 12 y/o kid doing stuff to him. Sicko! I used to love Powder, beautiful sad film and story, but now...I just can't.
bunnygirl71
Happy Birthday, Blank! :)
bunnygirl71
Happy Belated Birthday, frost!
bunnygirl71
I second this suggestion. Memento is brilliant!
Echo Moon
Happy upcoming birthday Blank!! Much love to you brother. I hope you have a wickedly cool epic gnarly rad awesome and totally tubular birthday! Oh no, I slipped back into the 80s...gag me with a spoon. LOL
Blank EOM
Happy belated bday buddy!
Echo Moon
Which Manchurian Candidate gg? The 1962 one with Frank Sinatra/Laurance Harvey or the 2004 remake with Denzel Washington/Liev Schreiber? Both are good IMO.
Echo Moon
I second Ice Pirates!! I actually suggested this on another post. :)
Echo Moon
I have Chud on dvd. LOL
Echo Moon
Happy belated Bday frost!!!!!!! Hope it was an amazing day for you!

MAVERICK. I feel like it’s an underappreciated, underrated movie more people should try watching. It’s one of the funniest westerns out there and contains a ton of cameos of old western actors and country musicians and has a great soundtrack.
Robin Ann Weber
Anyone is fine I haven't seen anyone of these but I voted for space cowboys just because I've heard about that one hb blank
Philip Davetas
Man! I love RAVENOUS. But I'm sure it won't win.
LeSheezy
I can't even enjoy Mom and Dad Save the World now knowing Jeffrey Jones is a pedo and registered offender and I used to love that movie.
Jonathan Patrick
Happy Birthday Blank! I vote Maverick. Recommend Joe vs the Volcano 🌋
Jeff B.
I’d also like to recommend Steve Martin’s “The Jerk”.
T.J. Gengler
No, not required. I simply submit that I consider watching it first to be preferable and worthy of consideration and discussion.
Jeff B.
I don’t think it’s necessary, because it doesn’t really carry over any characters or even the zombie “rules”. In fact, it just uses “Night” as a jumping off point. Granted, I love NotLD and I think JL should see it if he hasn’t, but I don’t think it’s required for enjoying RotLD.
g g gooding
I agree. NIGHT's the OG, and it ain't boring, even if it moves slowly (heh). Worth JL watching for a lot of reasons.
frost1977
my bd was on the 14th
frost1977
at least with Maverick, he has seen Lethal Weapon. most reactions i have seen did Maverick first so they miss that little nugget that's in there.
g g gooding
Zero spoil here...Momento was inspired by a real dude: Henry Molaison with...well, the issue at hand. You can read about him on Wiki...but to be warned: HM's story is interesting but it aint fun per se.
T.J. Gengler
I fully support J's reacting to RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. My only question is if it's necessary or even desirable for J to watch the original '68 NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD first? Personally, I think it is. RETURN isn't really a sequel to NIGHT but the original is useful. It stands on it's own classic horror merits quite well while providing a useful frame of reference for RETURN. IMHO, J should watch NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD first. What sayeth the group?
Echo Moon
Got another suggestion...Memento (2000) it's a great "what's going on" that I think J will like, he seems to like working out plots/mysteries.
Echo Moon
I would like to suggest for the poll next week...Same Time Next Year (1978). I think it's one of Alan Alda's better roles and who can deny the talent of Ellen Burstyn. :) I have never seen anyone react to it anywhere.
g g gooding
Ha! It *is* set on 4th of July, I forgot that! (Why, tho?) If anyone cares, the sequels are lackluster. BUT a scripted sequel, which is fantastically hilarious, was made as CHUD 2: Bud the CHUD. Its *clearly* a sequel to Return, no need to watch CHUD, and its insanely charming. I highly suggest it (if you can find it.) "Meat!"
Jeff B.
I love it sooo much. And the 4th of July is coming up so it’s the perfect watch for the holiday.
g g gooding
Its a bit outta y'alls wheel house, but no one has ever reacted to The Manchurian Candidate (either of em!) Which...how has NO ONE reacted to the OG plot-twisting flick?
Jennifer & Natalie
Love Return of the Living Dead! Would enjoy seeing JL react to that one. 🤣
T.J. Gengler
I've been hoping someone would be brave enough to react to ICE PIRATES.
CinWin
Happy happy birthday, Blank.🎂 Since Maverick is the only movie on this poll that I've seen, my vote goes there.
g g gooding
I 💯 support Return of the Living Dead! "Help me bar the door, stupid f***ers!"
Jeff B.
Happy Birthday! I always want to see more “Return of the Living Dead” reactions. And something a little weirder… Sly Stallone completely out of his element in “Rhinestone”. You either love it unironically or break your own spine cringing at it.
Reed James
I forgot all about Mom and Dad Save the world. Watched this as a kid.
Webwyrm
Happy bday my brother. Hope it’s awesome!
g g gooding
My complaint directed at YOU, Blank, as per your instructions: I can only vote for one! Happy Birthday, heathen. Many happy returns!
Rae Rae
Tough choice between Mom and Dad or Maverick ... both lol
