Comment 2 - Hot π₯ Take: The main bit Kubrick cut outta The Shining, from the book, was the masquerade - genuinely key to the plot. "masks off .." So...the movie The Shining was apologizing for faking the moon landings (obviously) and Eyes Wide Shut was apologizing for faking The Shining. After saying that: I expect Kubrick's ghost to murder me in the shower. Philadelphia!

Just finished *ahem* watching with JL. Wanna write 12 essays, but no one wants that, so...2 comments. I have a European dvd (haven't watched EWS for 15? years) so the version with extra boobies! Curious - lots of scenes had merely an extra line or 2, and I had to recalibrate as I watched with y'all. Odd that they would cut a single line here or there ... Philanthropist!
