For this singular instance its weird but acceptable. Only because we know the character is just desperate to be with his kids, Robin Williams does such a perfect job of expressing that to the viewer that we understand his desperation and a bit of his character to know he only has the best of intentions for doing this.

Yeah I'm all for the original Planet of the Apes series. Those 5 movies were great. Then there was the Mark Wahlberg one... we don't speak of that one. Then the new series. I've not seen all of the new ones. What I have seen was decent. They aren't nearly as good as the originals. If J watches planet of the Apes, should really start with what made people love the franchise in the first place. The original series. Plus the new movies pay homage in their ways to the originals. You wouldn't get those nods to the originals if you haven't seem them of course.

Slither is a great film! Plenty of laughs and scares for J. Hopefully one day...

I LOVE the classics, they're some of my favorite movies but, I honestly have to give the edge to the newer series due mostly to the fact that it starting with the ALZ112 makes a lot more sense than the classic movies.

Ohhh, I wish you would have gotten the "Matchmaker, Matchmaker" reference but I doubt that Fiddler on the Roof is ever going to make it on the channel. :-D

The original Planet of the Apes film was released in 1968 and starred Charlton Heston and Roddy McDowall, I genuinely think you should react to the original film series before starting the newer film series.
