Yeah it wasn't clear in the movie but according to some interview the writer did the implication was that Alehandro butt raped him.

Taylor Sheridan is a special talent. You need to see Hell or High Water and Wind River - Sicario is part of a thematic trilogy by Taylor Sheridan and those are the other two movies, and they're also really good. At the end it's like he wants her to shoot him, he does everything but nod at her to tell her to do it. This movie is pretty crazy - it was shot in Mexico City, a lot of movies like this they'll go to some other country but it almost feels like it's a cry for help them to allow this movie to be shot in their capital.

It was Water Cure Torture. Forced to drink water until the stomach nearly bursts. That's why they were having him drink bottles of water before the scene started. They were filling him up to get ready. LOL I laughed so hard when he said that he was being raped though. The dick in the face was just "I'm in control. You're all mine."

Lol they wasn’t water boarding him. If you go back and watch that seen they focus on the drain. It’s absolutely no water at all. I even looked it up and they say they raped him

This is one of my favorite movies to come out in the last 10 years. The ambient music does such a good job building suspense and conveys the gravity of the situation without having to say anything. All star cast for sure.
