Players get much better at that point, where Viktor can't really get dominating leads in laning phase and just get's outshined by other meta midlaners in other areas such as roaming, teamfighting, scaling etc. It's also why Viktor will NOT be played in Pro in this state ever, too weak stats on the champion

You'll need mechanics for any champion, but obviously something like Yone will require more than something like Malzahar.
