My heart really goes out to your budget on this. Game dev can take a long time (esp if solo/practically solo) and having up update the assets due to inconsistent style is brutally expensive. It's awesome that Paroro is passionate enough about your game and your relationship is good enough that this stuff can be done. For an example on my end, my character artist (not him) got a massive popularity boost between the time of doing my base character busts and adding the expressions. So... I couldn't afford the expressions. So unless I get a big surge of money somehow to afford his new rates, every character has one expression regardless of what they're saying or what's happening.
