Yes, need to put the rods assembled back on the scale on monday. They are all numbered to not get mixed up. I'm definitely going to remove all sharp edges possible. I'll discuss that with the machine shop. But would be reallycool to have all parts nicely chamfered. And yes, intake and exhaust gets port matched of course 😃👍

I was thinking that most likely the connecting rods were balanced as a complete piece (cap + rod, and maybe even the bolts). If you can still match them up as they were installed it might be worth another check. Also was curious, will you be using your master level deburring & chamfering skills to the interior engine bits & pieces? It would be cool to see how they would turn out but it might also hurt the balancing or other things. On the plus side you could do a port & polish on the cylinder heads to squeeze out a little more power. I think that would be something you would do very well and would be a lot of fun too.

I can see your point, but I don't think the engine was damaged there. Usually crash damage on engines are more cracked blocks and such. This seems more like a lack of maintenace or going to hard on a race track and cause overheating or so.

I may be way off kilter here, but given how damaged the frame was, that had to be a huge hit. I wonder if the engine was damaged, and things were just patched up in the engine to make it run. The odd things that run through my mind while watching vlogs and videos.😉🤣
