I'm aware of this technique. For the video it will be cleaner with the tool.

You do t need a tool to remove the valve collets , for quick disassembly get a socket the same diameter as the valance spring cap, and a extension bar. Put the socket on the spring cap and hit extension bar with hammer. The collets pop out and you can remove the valves

Yeah that makes total sense. It looks chipped but at the same time it doesn't 😅

That #6 valve is a classic “burnt valve”. It’s not that it broke off and went flying through the engine anywhere, but rather it is literally disintegrating (likely from heat/corrosion) due to the blown head gasket allowing coolant to leak into the cylinder. The blown head gasket itself is often caused by running the engine in an overheated state. At least that’s my hypothesis. :)
