I wouldn't worry too much - at least I don't mind it. If it's motivation you are having troubles with, you should be having fun with what you do. A break is always refreshing and gives you time to think of new things you want to try or illustrate. Hope you are doing well and get through what may be troubling you!

I admire your ethics, but don't be too hard on yourself. I consider my support to be more like a tiny scholarship than piece meal work. This strip is really original and I think it shows great promise. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. If you do want/need to take a month off, please do something really fun and different during your break, so you can come back refreshed.
