I've listened to almost all shows since they started, & this is much needed, but the Musk interview was by far the hardest to listen to & the one that made me angriest. My boss at work decided he was going to watch this episode at work. Not on his work monitor, nope, the main television we keep up as a back up camera screen because we work at an airport and monitor plane movements up there sometimes. I couldn't stay in the office a minute more than absolutely necessary to do my paperwork. My eyes kept rolling so hard I could barely see straight after 3 minutes... I don't want to imagine what it did to Marsh and Cecil to watch not once, but two or three times!

Feel like I beat this drum last week with Ky Dickinson. One of my leads at work put this interview on in the lead office at work. Watched the entire thing, and was crowing occasionally about how Elmo was going to save the entire country. Sometimes I genuinely hate working in an industry that's just a feeding ground for conservative idiocy. Dude was claiming Elmo and Trump are going to fix all the "Democrat out of control spending" and "Bidenflation." All while proces continue to rise, and everything costs more than it did 6 months ago when he was whining that Biden had doubled the cost of everything and I genuinely am quoting him when I use the words "day one, Trumps going to start slashing prices for everything, just like he did in 2016!"

Eughgghh. I get horrible second-hand embarrassment listening to Elon Musk talk. It started when I heard audio from that Twitter meeting about the "tech stack" being "bloated" and how they needed to knock it all down and start again. Ughhhh it's just so uncomfortable listening to him talk straight out of his rectum because he's So. Goddamn. Bad. At it. You can always tell when he gets slightly panicked and he's been caught making shit up, because he babbles and gets even more defensive and memey. Unlike Trump, Elon does seem to demonstrate discomfort when he's lying. In contrast, it's hard to know if Trump can even tell the difference between telling the truth and lying, or if he just thinks his own stream of consciousness somehow creates reality while he talks.
