You know, one massive wrench anyone can throw into this guys arguments at any point pretty much. China. Explain how China plays into all this. Systems of writing, counting, government, astronomy, arguably even proto-sciences like chemistry and physics before anything civilization in the west had it. If you want to go really kooky, perhaps the Chinese were these predecessor civilization.

"Why just pyramids, why exactly the same, all over the world??? ALIENS." This always pisses me off so much, it's like asking "why do buildings from EVERY SINGLE CULTURE have walls and doors". 1. Pyramids are NOT all the same, the ones in Mexico, Egypt, Cambodia etc look different from region to region and there are variations within the same region 2. They built other shit but that shape is durable and impressive so pyramids are what we found and what you heard about 3. Come on dude, even you could figure out that a square base pyramid is the easiest and most likely shape to not fall down if you played with your blocks for long enough

I love the colonialism like argument that if white people didn’t build it had to be aliens … I think Marsh mentioned on an earlier show that pyramids are relatively easy to build - that is why they show up everywhere … Similarly, they assume that the native people aren’t smart enough or aren’t normal people that make jokes … you know piranha skeletonizing a cow - they were penned by the native people to scare the people taking over their land - same think with the supposed dinosaur living in Congo - it was the native people just lying because it was fun …
