Finally listened and this was a great EP. I don’t understand why people, including the hosts of this show, did not take everything that Robby said as a joke? This is a comedy show. Everyone is always snapping sarcastic jokes, but for some reason people took everything she said as serious. People need to chill. Clearly y’all know nothing about her and didn’t give her any rope to make a joke. Bad or not. Also, the boys have historically made fun of and complained about the Zoomers. And yet Robby does it and people get up tight. I could tell y’all felt threatened by her from the start. Still a great show. P&L

The problem is that democrats don't ACTUALLY ever actively, vehemently push for abortion rights or trans issues. They politely resist the efforts but are too scared of those issues themselves to be firm and united for them. "Trans" is a word they only tack onto the end of the acronym "LGBT." I didn't like some of Robbie's other stances, but she's speaking (imo) about the perspective of the politicians themselves.

I understand that Robby is a comedic genius but their use of the R-word to describe DiCaprio's Character in Gilbert Grape seemed a little weird and unnecessary. As a father of a developmentally disabled 4 year old year girl and a community mental health therapist myself, It was a little insensitive and uneducated. That Character clearly resembled the symptoms of severe Autism with a lack of professional supports. But, no big deal. Great episode. It was just kinda weird and took me by surprise. I thought I was listening to joey Diaz or something.

If you watch the second half it confirms that the first half is an act. I’m not a fan of politics at all on the show - but overall seemed like a comedian on a comedy show? What is the big deal. I do think there’s several factions of audience here and folks and maybe the show is in growing pains and trying to find itself (like all of us). I think it’s frozen in the early Covid social emotional all-accepting vibe and maybe needs to transition out to grow.

I think if you wanted an excellent example of liberal apathy it's Robby Hoffman. Republican obstructionism and Trump's supreme court picks lead to a reversion of abortion rights--amongst others things like the Chevron case which has bigger ramifications for making the elites "richer". Yes, Democrats are corporate stooges, but it's not really a comparison at all. Tim is right--Democrats at least have specific principles that are less worse than Republicans. And the targeting of trans people isn't some "theoretical" problem to divide voters, places have in fact enacted bans on trans health care. Why treat these issues like they're illusory? Revolution would be great. But it's odd seeing someone preach about the system sucking then saying "they don't really care" about these issues because it doesn't really effect them is telling.
