I still laugh more at Curb than pretty much anything else. There’s only so many social mishaps to play around with, but it’s still great fun.

Couple of familiar faces on Colbert last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDTwEi1leyI

Hello Tim, I've just finished the On Cinema saga to date, what a ride. You are quite something. I love it. Cheers.

Jason040

Gotta say, I’ve always been a huge fan, but after the fundraiser post I realize you have a good heart and now have even more respect for you! I’m sure you’re gonna sleep better now knowing how I feel lol

Matt James

You guys are due for a damned game night! Let's go already!

Matt James

Tracy's character and her portrayal has to be one of the funniest characters in the history of television. Every time she's on screen it's a gift. And whoever does her costume/wardrobe design is a genius. I still love the show though; to each his own. I can agree however its not as good as it once was.

Jim Taylor aka Huff The Talbot

My only bone to pick is Curb. I've been crying uncontrollably, howling with laughter, many times this season. My partner and I have often commented on how he's going out on such a high. Just shows how subjective comedy can be I guess. I dunno. Anyway, still love you all and Office Hours is my favourite two hours of entertainment every week. Thank you guys.

Thanks for recommending that podcast On The Funny. I've already dived in and love it. I need to feed my On Cinema habit. I've just binged the whole thing, plus all the Oscar specials, The Trial, all the Dekkers and everything. It's a true work of art and the character of Tim Heidecker is one of the great comic creations of all time. The only other thing that comes close, I think would be Alan Partridge.

The Sting is amazing! It was kind of my comfort classic movie back in the day. great storytelling lesson in how to showcase characters with tight, punchy lines and story beats. Also Paul Newman and Robert Redford sparkled 👌. I can never decide who's my favorite in that. Thanks for the vampire teasers! My writer's brain immediately thought up of these theoretical pickleball scenarios that I think you'd rock (no I still haven't caught up on season 5 yet): 1) Aggressive Bro, might come in two flavors a) asshole, ruthless b) still mean but has standards and follows the rules 2) Team Player Bro, wants to build camaraderie with the other player(s). Might be a pushover that we all come to love. 3) Teacher Bro, wants to bond with the other player(s) and nurture/guide them. Can be kind. Will probably die. I still haven't given up on the headcanon wishes of the flipped power dynamic between you and Mark. Hope you enjoy this last day "off" before all your excellent artisting. Thanks for using your platform for good, every little bit counts.

Tim Heidecker

it was a podcast from the Hollywood Reporter.

I love The Sting. What was the podcast? Over the years of rewatching it I noticed it’s a hat movie. Each hat is perfectly chosen for each character.

“It’s pronounced Phillipi”

Chris Letso

Wait he did?

Adam Gutman

Sports talk, I’m here firnit

Jeff Man

I’m with you on that!

Journe

I hope Hyman scores big on the leafs. Go Oilers!

Grant Peterson

Phillippe is a huge OC head; glad he got a spot in the latest Oscar Special!

Adam Gutman

Squash is a great sport, gets the heart rate going and is like chess with a racquet. Tim or Doug, welcome to play next time you’re in New York!

Brendan Otto

David rehashed at least three themes from old Seinfeld episodes too. One was the coveting of someone else’s pen, then that person begrudgingly giving him the pen (space pen) #2 all the baby names centered around Mickey mantle ala the famous George wanting to name his child “7” I have to admit every name he suggested were hilarious old timey almost cowboy names. I can’t help the things that the whole show is gonna wrap up just like Seinfeld dead with him, going to jail in the south for a stupid law. There was another one too, but I can’t think of it. see if you can! Agree, Tracy Allman was killing it

Jane Crocker

You gotta read “I’m Glad My Mom Died” by Jennette McCurdy !!! Talks about Dan Schneider somewhat and what the actress playing Sam from iCarly went thru. Very good showbiz book and very dare I say important

Darius Hahn

Welcome back to the Big Smoke, sorry about that mess of a snowstorm yesterday. My rec of the day: Ali Wong is also in town for a couple of shows later this week. I think tickets are still available too. I became a believer after watching the impossibly good Beef from 2023. Highly recommended!

Melissa Saputo

Man, people will find ways to be negative about everything. You're doing what you can by sharing the fundraiser to a ton of listeners, which is way more of a contribution than most people could make. Genuinely- thank you so much for sharing Hana and the Awad family's story. I found it to be both inspiring and heartbreaking. I hope hope hope her family can make it out ASAP. The GoFundMe is making good progress... Hana's story specifically really resonated with me, as my boyfriend is currently applying to graduate engineering programs like hers. مِنَ النَّهْرِ إِلى البَحْرِ سَتَتَحَرَّرُ فِلَسْطِينْ

Man I love the On the Funny podcast, I love how unabashedly stuffy they are about comedy, it’s so wonderful

ToddUmptious

That might be taking it a touch toe far

rainbowdark

Ryan Phillippe! We went to the same weird baptist christian school. I remember him seeming like a cool dude but was always afraid to talk to him because i comparatively felt like a NERD. That same weird baptist christian school eventually expelled me for various unholy shenanigans. I distinctly remember the principal citing the reason for my explusion being that I was, quote unquote "The Devil Child" ... Still very proud of that!

Tim Brooks

maybe you should go back on “on the funny” after they’re done talking about the oscar special and let them know if what they’re speculating is true.

Phil Braun

More like “Me- “toe’d”…right?

Jeff Man

Can someone hook you up with Leafs tickets? Edmonton is in town. Great matchup - two high scoring teams! Peace & Love

Shane Mendez

Talk about a jam-packed schedule! Don’t forget to BREATHE

ToddUmptious

Woah 13 minutes ago? You must be on European time. Which makes sense for canada. It is the Europe of America. My friend : Man that foot guy is gonna get metooed one of these days just you wait. Me, every time : I'm pretty sure Dan Schneiders numbers been called already My friend, also every time: No dude, I'm talking about Quentin Tarantino. Mark my words. I'm nearly 40 so apologies if that meme is old and tired but this is a conversation we keep having; also probably because we are getting old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcKkEhlCu9w&ab_channel=AmericanPronunciationGuide this compilation needs to be updated with Joey P. Probably one of my favourite gags from the oscar special, subverting expectations and having a host pronounce a name correctly that is commonly mispronounced by everyone <3

Nick Burica

Had to read that name twice as my brain thought you were doing a duet with the black crowes

Kyle Sikorski

It's a beautiful day out. Hope you enjoy your stay in Toronto again :)
