The grand adventures of Timmy O'Heidecker

Sam Sawtell

Great update, Tim! Though I fear the Irish will take umbrage at you saying English and Irish breakfasts are the same!

Mary-Anne McTrowe

My friend Glen's an extra in Barry Lyndon! He's in a candle lit scene so you can barely see him, but he's there.

Clay N. Ferno

Barry Lyndon's my favorite, T!

ToddUmptious

" a great history of Dublin, Ireland, and its "issues" with the UK, Brexit, EU, Irish gangs, Immigration, Ukraine, Russia, The Middle East, boxing..." Every pint comes with that, it's mandatory, like extra chips in a chip shop; never advertised but always there. We know an awful lot about everything and very much about nothing.

ToddUmptious

Glad to hear you got a good feed while you were here. Disappointed with the lack of crotch in the final shot, was really enjoying those. Have you considered and OnlyCrotch tier? I know a guy, whose not me, that might up their sub. Just some guy, you wouldn't know him.

Timothy Mclean

Glad to see the trip worked out well overall! I'm taking off for Dublin Thursday!

Evan Swope

Your opinion makes this a worse experience for us!

Hybrid Cypher

Every American Friend of mine has been to Dublin, but iv never been and im in england. i dont think were very welcome if you know what i mean

Shane Mendez

No scorn, just one subscriber’s opinion. I’m sure Tim is going to be just fine.

Alec Lindsay

Bro: keep your scorn to yourself. Tim is clearly a down to earth dude and I really enjoy relating to him and slice of life moments. I don’t think I’m alone… T - don’t let the Man(dez) get you down!

rainbowdark

Thanks for The Holdovers rec! Big Giamatti head here. Met him once! ... kind of. One day I will be legally allowed to tell the story, which happens to be one of my most treasured

owen

try the banoffee crepe from Scoop if youre still there. brother hubbard is good too

Saturday a.k.a. Brown Town

Cool #duckstatue!!

Nick Grant

Just watched Barry Lyndon on this lazy hungover sunday. It's solid. Kubrick is a master of cinematography. His films are so visually breathtaking, all shot on location and no shortcuts whatsoever. I then listened to a podcast with some guy that was in the film and they got on to comparing Kubrick to the Beatles. Lol I thought that was extremely office hours. Thanks for the rec t

Archon

I would be wary of the Sus Sex Bar. O'Brien sounds like a sick man.

Kevin Doyle

I'm so glad you had a good time in Dublin, and I look forward to seeing you in this series. My Dad was born there, and moved to NYC when he was 18.

Shane Mendez

No, I find value in other aspects of the subscription, so I’ll just not engage with the things that I don’t

lilula9

Wow, another thorough entry in the "Acting Diary" 🤩 Great St. Patrick's Day pregaming right there. Very cool you got to connect with people overseas. I wondered if the whole experience could be kind of isolating, but you definitely impressed people with your warm, extroverted nature. I've joked about you being a "diva" but that's more of the persona; you're clearly aware of how people can misunderstand that, especially first-time coworkers like the crew. Awesome to hear that Chris O'Dowd is a nice person. Thanks for all the details, and I hope you get some rest. See you Thursday!

Tim Heidecker

Ooof. Man this doesn’t seem like a fun place for you. Shall we arrange a refund and you can hang somewhere else?

Shane Mendez

I think I get my fill from Tim’s blogs!

Jackie

Just had some beans with my breakfast, A+++

EKB

hearing "mutual friends and foes" makes me wonder if Chris had any Graham Linehan gossip but I'm sure he's sick of being asked about that.

Joseph Teegardin

“ sometimes I'll get strange looks from extras... you know, if I jokingly act like a deranged diva or something...” Almost spit out my coffee on this line!

Alec Lindsay

I don’t pony up the big Patreon bux to get access to the stories of some Canadian uber driver! Everyone has those stories of being late to a flight and how everything sets you off when you’re in that mode. I heartily enjoy reading how T has those moments too. Lighten up.. or go read some reddit threads descriving encounters with asshole celebrities, sounds like you identify with that crowd more..

RyAlbert

relax eh? part of what i love about reading T’s blog is his honesty and transparency. we gotta keep it that way

Mary Newman

Fun read, I love Chris O'Dowd and it's nice to hear he's very cool and sweet, just like he seems. I have mucho Irish blood but have never been, one of these days. Love the travelog!

Shane Mendez

Your framing of it is worse. Blogging about these people who are on the clock driving you to the airport in a storm? You had to make a phone call. The woman who was ASSIGNED to you, who’s probably been screamed at for wandering too far from another assigned celeb, was being too present. She didn’t get the hint: you had a phone call! Glad you’re nice in the moment when you’re clearly seething and irritated and can’t wait to blog about them.

Jim D.

That was good craic, T. Enjoy.

Tim Heidecker

LOL indeed Shane. I’m always very polite and respectful and low maintenance in these situations. I don’t ask for these things. They’re part of the production process and they certainly are fairly small annoyances that I think are kinda fun or funny or speak to how we all interrelate- your framing of it schtinks bud.

Michelle L. Stone

Try Zzzquil. Puts you out quick and keeps you asleep without grogginess in the morning. [not an ad]

Melissa Saputo

What a win-win that being friendly with crew not only helps you perform, but builds rapport with the people you work with! You have probably helped a lot of crew members feel less nervous at their jobs by doing that too. Safe travels T! 🫡

Phil Braun

This level of bean intake is concerning

Shane Mendez

LOL another great Tim adventure being annoyed by the underlings assigned to assist him. Don’t worry, they know you think they’re scum! I wonder what their stories are like…

Scrud

Hoo boy, that brekky lookin NOICE innit?

Calvin

Wow! Totally generous update Tim! Thanks for taking the time amidst what sounds like some extremely stressful situations. ✌🏼

Mattc83

I love Ireland. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon back in 2016. I’d love to go back once the kiddos are a bit older.

Drew Schooley

Beans for breakfast? Is everyone in Ireland just constantly ripping farts?

Brian Rooney

Hi Tim, what's this I see: Stone Pony, Snail Mail, Waxahatchee, Tim Heidecker??

Sheridan Flynn

Loose and funny, just like old Barry himself. If you’ve a spare afternoon I suggest you hop on a DART get off on Dún Laoghaire and walk the 19th century pier. You’ll see the whole of Dublin bay, the Irish Sea, with Brexit island in the far off distance. That grip sounds like a fucking legend. ✊🏼

Jamie Babs

Funny how you mentioned how you memorize lines because that has recently become some viral video with Pedro Pascal from a SAG interview. People calling him the zodiac killer for how crazy it looks apparently. I still don’t understand how you guys do it by the looks of it haha

Tim Johnson

Thanks for the window into the life of working in showbiz. It seems adventurous but really like a slog with some serendipitous joys around the margins. Cheers!

tabor

Stop looking at me swan! Can't wait to see ya in Portland.
