It's not the easiest show to explain without coming across like you're trying to condone edgy comedy as a whole, and of course I am a Sam Seder fan and I would only ever use Italian and Irish slurs due to my heritage (I even say "Romani"), so I hope people can get I'm not justifying anything as much as trying to clarify the circumstances a little. It's intentionally offensive and also intentionally obscure as to how much of it is a character. Think Neil Hamburger but with far more blurred lines, and willing to say basically anything about anyone. As far as Vic goes, Mike is Jewish and Vic has been a fan for years. Mike explained the more offensive stuff as being for pure shock value "to keep the spirit going" or something, not like you're supposed to agree with him or even really laugh from his perspective and has pushed back about as much as kayfabe would let him against the people who actually agree with the edgy stuff. He's an interesting case of an independent right-of-centre edgelord comedian who is usually pretty reasonable in his assessments of situations - how many of those are left, really? Not accepting anyone who has been on Joe Rogan as an answer.

I stumbled across Redbar years ago. It was a clip of him doing some bizarre bit on Obama and his daughters. Figured he was just one of those edgy obscure comics that you only real hear about if you're in that world. Saw the video he did on Bella Thorne and Bill Maher recently and I was surprised it was the same guy. Seemed more mature. I think his appeal is is very much the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" type of thing. He seems to have cultivated a cult following online and most of his reviews seem to be glowing. He's an outlier in terms of stye, thats for sure.

He’s very much a troll and says some really horrible shit (I’m mostly referring to gay and racial slurs). That being said, he’s spot on his calling out of so many modern comedians and all these podcast bros, especially so many of them in the Rogan sphere that inexplicable have tons of followers and views on all their terrible content. Nice to listen someone taking these oafs down and picking apart their acts (grifts) concisely.
