Tim, as a productivity junky, I can highly recommend Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman. Really changed my perspective.

Vadim Kazakov

You mean to tell me you don't follow the LEAFS?! That good Canadian boy Austin Matthews got a great slap shot

Sarah Jay

I just keep a planner, stick to the plan, and jot down even the most inane shit to keep my attention on the plan. As I cross off easy stuff, I get a little dopamine rush.

Erik Carter

Notion is a great app for keeping organized

Adam

Tim you make a mee mee laugh many time. Thank you for that

Jeff Franchetti

Don't lose time diving into productivity porn. It is the ultimate procrastination. Make a list, get stuff done. Unsubscribe from all emails. Delete things and throw things away. Repeat.

SpongeBob Marley

Tom, which Super Bowl commercial did you direct?

Friendly Rich

Hey Tim. Monday night I'm playing 9 to midnight at The Cameron House. Come check out some live music while you're here!

Clay N. Ferno

Peace and love

ZeroZeroZero was excellent. Andrea Riseborough shines.

Jim D.

Being centered when you have a lot on your plate makes things easier on your mind - the cook. Good on you. GO leafs.

Matt James

Believe he may have also suggested ZeroZeroZero which is another good crime show. As well, Gomorrah has but tv show AND a movie by the same name about the same subject matter which is also excellent.

Harrison

Tim have you watched Gomorrah? Eric recommended in an off hand comment that barely got noticed many moons ago on an episode that I can’t exactly remember. It’s the like The Sopranos, but set in Naples, with great music, and over the top acting/violence. Intense stuff. A bit of a throwback, but would suggest a watch if you want some European TV!

Peloton is great!!! All the instructors are awesome So many different workouts Strength yoga meditation the stretches. Having it has really helped me in the last two years. Enjoy Toronto at least the weather has been pretty decent this week!

Madeline Babuka Black

Thx for linking the meditation !! Yesterday my acupuncturist said if I don’t have a teacher for my meditation I may unlock something evil within me ….

Joseph Teegardin

“Then I shower reply to emails, and get some work done. “ Glad I’m not the only one that shower emails.

Love that you have such great coworkers. That was literally me and my friends when an elderly lady at the next table over a restaurant kept saying "calamari [this]", "calamari [that]", "[something something about that] calamari" in a Missouri accent. I giggle-choked into my soup and tried not to fall out of my chair, we couldn't believe that actually happened. So good to experience chaos with others. That’s awesome you can turn your time working abroad into your own private retreat! I had to indirectly pay for this info so I’m switching word order so I don’t get sued, but I liked how learning how you see time helps you know your strengths and weaknesses and plan in a way that works for you. Hope it is helpful to you. Time styles: PictureBig: Big thinkers but leave out details in plans
Approach: more detailed to-do lists, basic routines

FocusHyper: Absorbed by detail, has trouble transitioning task to task
Approach: Work from a plan that incorporates task bridges. Plan backwards. Work in chunks of time like 20 min. Jumper: are “hoppers” and like to jump task to task, has trouble finishing open items on the list. Gets easily distracted, can get unproductive with too many open things. Approach: Eliminate distractions, work in large, uninterrupted chunks. Timers can help you keep track of the time passing. Keep track of your energy to take breaks during low energy and decrease chances of getting distracted easily. Yeah, I'm a hopper. Yeah, I'm getting professional help for it 🙃 Ba'hee Priss Dimmie and all that jazz

I've read some of the book, The Bullet Journal, about how to journal in an organized, efficient fashion to help plan your day. It got complicated for me, more than the effort seemed worth, and the author gets a little too "self-helpy" for my taste, but I took some basic principles of it that I thought were helpful. Supposedly it helps a lot of people to journal in the style the author recommends.

nitecore

Also revisited Sexy Beast recently, such a great movie. Looking forward to Zone and appreciated hearing your thoughts on it last week

Tim Heidecker

no it left the theaters before i could see it

EKB

Tim I'd love to know, after this venture is over, if you give any more thought to a home Peloton. I'll pay your subscription myself if you become a Cody Rigsby slut.

Björn Lindgren

Tim! If you enjoy hockey, check out drama series ”Börje - the journey of a Legend”. Biopic about Swedish NHL-legend Börje Salming at Toronto Maple Leafs during the 70s. It’s on Crave in Canada. Very good. Film editing by me.

brainblob

Send this to Ron too

Dan Mulcahy

Did you see Godzilla? I loved it.

Caleb

Have fun at the tower, reminds me of a game I made called How Hei is This Observation Decker? I also have a game called Tim Test ‘24.

Kyle

Hobonichi Cousin - the best planner you can get. It’s a daily, weekly and monthly calendar, to do list, and notebook. It’s Japanese so you know they got this organization thing down.

Joss Humberstone

Instant mind drop when Ben Kingsley is mentioned now - “It was little Peppino”. Have you seen ‘Under the Skin’ from Glazer? Great film

Jillian Mcleod-Tardiff

Look out for the glass floor 😱

Chad

Like you said, utilize those calendar, notes and, especially, the reminders apps. I caretake for an elderly parent, two geriatric cats, plus myself and my full-time job. My phone is always buzzing with my recurring reminders for meds, appointments, calls I need to make, things I need to look up, etc. Siri comes in handy too as I’m always telling her “Remind me to do such-and-such in two hours.” There is no task or reminder too small to not get marked down.

Ben

If you know Excel at all, you’re a champion in my book.

Coleman

Enjoy the view

Max

Started back on running lately, has been great for stress and decompressing—happy Saturday!

Colin

We've all felt Tim's presence in Toronto these past few weeks.

Kyle Sikorski

Hey T! I'll walk up the CN Tower with you if you're game!

Colin Flora

Always enjoy the status updates, my friend. Be well!

SpongeBob Marley
