Tuesday Treat: Let Me Roll It

Last night I did a few tunes at the Denny Laine Benefit Concert at the world famous Troubadour. It was a warm and fun night, with a fantastic backing band playing a bunch of Wings songs, and other 60's golden oldies... backstage was full of fun people like Paul Shaffer, Peter Asher... Micky Dolenz - Luckily Gregg was there (performing as Neil Hamburger) and we kept laughing at how silly it was that we were there.
I was assigned the task of singing Live and Let Die and Let Me Roll It. "Live and Let Die's" verses are a little out of my range, but I managed to kinda croon through it. But I knew I could NAIL "Let Me Roll It..." I can somehow sing that way, but I can't rehearse it... when I try at home or in the car it cracks and flops. I need a band and an audience and then I squeeze my butt cheeks, lift off my heels and just jump into the deep end. It's pretty fun!
I'm sure some videos from the show last night will start popping up online, but here's a full video of the rehearsal we had on Sunday. What a great, great Paul rocker!

I was there and it was a really great night (nice meeting you briefly, Tim). Lots of (peace and ) love for Denny that came through from everyone involved. I got some video, including the entirety of Let Me Roll It and the finale of Band on the Run where everyone came back out on stage. Please forgive the vertical video. I did it to get some clips for Instagram stories to hype up my friends Alex and Emeen, who were part of the band, and then realized that I didn't want to stop filming and it was too late to switch the orientation.
