Doug's Tour Diary Day 14: Pittsburgh
🕑 Added 2023-11-01 23:15:14 +0000 UTCThe second leg of the tour is complete! As far as my performance goes, Pittsburgh was my second favorite. I felt loose and the crowd was awesome. I learned a trick: have my glasses fall off, this makes the crowd a bit blurry and that helps me focus and be funnier.
Eric’s show was a bit different. He has his friend Kyle Bastic co-host with him as “Reese Witherspoon.” That character goes all the way back to the homemade pilot episode of the Eric Andre show. It was a wild one.
At the end of the show, we all sang happy birthday to our stagehand Mike (aka Major Entertainer!) Also Eric did a quick costume change and came back out as Ice Spice.
We had to leave at 5am to get to the airport for our flight. Yes, there was a layover in Phoenix. The Pittsburgh airport was comically janky, complete with a security barn, “yes we’re open” sign and a closed off TSA PreCheck line.
Anyway, it’s great to be back in sunny old LA 😎
