“Do we have to leave?” Jasmine murmured.
“No, I was missing you,” he replied candidly, not bothering to lower his voice so her friends could hear.
Penelope placed her hand over her heart while Kira put hers on her hip.
“You two have robbed us twice of attending your wedding,” Kira declared. “Did Igor speak to you about having a reception?”
Jasmine stiffened.
“He mentioned it,” Roth replied and gave her a reassuring squeeze.
“And?” Kira pushed.
“It’s up to my wife.”
Jasmine bit back a curse as Clara and Daiyu who had been eavesdropping joined their group.
“A reception?” Daiyu asked archly. “Will you be needing some sort of gown for this occasion?”
“No,” Jasmine said shortly. “Since this occasion doesn’t exist.”
“Come on, Jas, nothing brings everyone together like a celebration. You can choose any venue anywhere in the world. No limits.” Kira raised her brows at Roth. “Right?”
“Of course,” he murmured. “She can have whatever she wants.”
Jasmine wanted to roll her eyes. All four women were grinning from ear to ear.
