As you might have noticed, for some time I did not publish typical and regular content here. It’s because I had to push a pause…
It's still very difficult for me to draw. Every time I open the sketchbook, I am reminded of Jung Gi and feel paralyzed. I find it so hard to believe he's gone. That he passed away a week after I met him. It is such a surreal feeling. That something so down-to-earth happened to someone with such an unearthly talent. Maybe that's why I have the impression that he did not die, but returned to the universe? Or maybe it's just a denial phase.
His death causes a lot of reflection in me. I realized that I want to draw more. Not to deal with additional, not art related assignments that make it difficult for me to find time and actually practice sketching.
I want to develop and draw as much as possible, but also have a balance. To not overwhelm myself with tasks and have more contact with friends, family and nature.
Mental health affects the health of the body and vice versa. Do what you love and take care of yourself beloved Potato Angels 💖

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️🩹 My grandma passed away in August. It’s not the best year I must admit.
Take your time. My grandma passed away 7 days ago & I still can’t believe it because one day, she was talking to me & the other day she is gone. It takes time to realise it. Just do what you need to heal. It is so important to do what is good for you, in your own way & rhythm. Otherwise it might affect your health. For me, it helped to spend the time with my mother outside the house, feel the warm sun on my skin & take a break from media.

Totally understandable Gaby. It must have been so hard to grasp that you just met someone so lively, connected, chatted, took pictures together and now he's gone. I do love what you said, like he returned to the universe - he's energy is still in all the work and drawings he left behind. Sending you hugs ❤️
