The fox put the bag he was holding down, realizing that what Cass had been asking for was not in there. He nodded in response, knowing she was right.
“You’re right Cass. I’ll head back to the diner and get you the ranch.”
“Act…actually, while, burp, you’re there, can you get me that garlic steak sandwich? And, urp, another order of loaded fries?”
Donald nodded once more and headed off, his tail swaying between his toned butt cheeks.
Cass meanwhile typed with one hand and held the “dry burger” in her hand for a moment, before putting it back in the tray and grabbing the fried fish sandwich that was next to it. She ran her tongue along her beak before lifting the hearty lunch item up and taking a huge bite, getting tartar sauce everywhere.
“So friggin good”, she said as she chewed everything up.
It had been three months since Cass had totaled the treadmill at Mango Fitness, and a lot had changed. For one, the manager at the gym had contacted her about paying for the machine, which she did without making a fuss. She knew what had happened and just wanted to get on with it as quickly as possible.
Her attitude had shifted as she found herself eating more than usual, hoping this would dull the pain of having made such a fool of herself. The relentless eating she was doing did help her think of things other than the gym, but it was also having the effect of making her fatter and fatter as each day passed.
She had been 611 pounds when she had broken the treadmill but now after three months, Cass was past 700 pounds and not slowing down one bit. Each day at work she would type with one hand and stuff food into her beak with the other, never pausing her eating unless she had to go to the bathroom, and even in some of those instances, she was walking to the restroom with some food item in her hand (she never ate in the bathroom, that would just be gross). She was always eating.
She had thought that this was due to trying to get all the bad crap that had happened to her out of her mind, but the truth was that her appetite demanded these new eating habits. Her gut always growled when it was not being filled. Worse, Cass had gotten rid of all her clothes that could possibly be worn to the gym as she was banned from Mango Fitness. She didn’t want to go anywhere else so she didn’t need that apparel anymore.
That was the final death kneel in the once fit bird’s resistance to her new lot in life. She had always believe that she could make enough money and then turn her attention back to working out. With no access to her favorite gym, that hope was gone, and with it her denying her immense appetite. Any restraint or belief in losing weight had vanished, all she wanted to do was indulge.
Her weight kept creeping up further and further, which she was ignoring as best as she could. Even as her couch at home got confining, even as the steps down from her apartment got more tiring, even as she had to leave the air conditioning on in her apartment at all times, Cass ignored it as best she could. All that mattered was eating, and she was NOT going to think about anything else, no matter what.

Great page. This is a great comparison between the first time We see her interact with Donald Where is she tells him to take away the food now she's begging for more.She's passed the point of no return.

And there's three more after THIS? Damn, that's going to be one hell of a finale for Cass' story. This story has been one of my favorites of yours! Reading your depictions of her ballooning size (and her struggles with the world around her) has been incredible! Yes, the illustrations from volkenfox are great, but you really sell her HEFT and BULK as her appetite spirals out of control.
