Bulking Up (And Out) Pt11

“Welcome to, burp, the Creede Hometown Buffet, the place where the pies, urp, are warm and the food is always fresh. Take, barrrrppppppp, any seat you want.”
“Thanks Cassie. Anything really good out there tonight”, a very plump fox asked as he hugged his girlfriend.
“The, urp, eggplant parm is really good tonight. They, burp, added nutmeg to it. I’d go with that. Or the pasta primavera, that’s tasty.”
The couple nodded it’s appreciation and made their way to the seating area. They turned briefly to see the rabbit reach for her mug containing a mixture of cream, protein powder, and chocolate ice cream, take a hearty swig, belch, and then put it back down. The duo smiled as they noticed a small tear in the rabbits uniform, her pendulous ass starting to become exposed.
As she slurped on her shake, Cassie thought about what her next snack was going to be. She had hoped that Annette was going to make good on her promise on to make barbeque mac and cheese, though when she had gone back before, she had seen that it was nowhere to be found. She would have to speak to her when she came back out.
The gluttonous rabbit went about her business, slurping on her milkshake and determining what she would be eating next. She had already gone through two plates of eggplant, some peppers and eggs, and some of the walnut, cranberry, almond salad, but still was feeling peckish. She glanced down under her station and saw that she still had some of the “protein cookies” still leftover. She was about to reach for them, when she heard someone behind her.
“Cass!”
She gulped, realizing it was Annette. Her boss obviously cast a long shadow on everyone in town. She knew she had forgotten to count heads once again, and knew that it might impact her standing with the giraffe. She really did not want to have to deal with any bullshit right now, especially when Annette hadn’t brought out the one thing she was looking forward to.
“Um, yes” she responded, whipping her head around, to see that Annette was smiling, which made her feel a bit relieved.
Unbeknownst to her, her sudden turn had caused the tear in her pants to open up even more, her panties wedging even further up her rear. She gave a little shift in her stool, hoping this movement would rid the discomfort. It did not, but she did not have time to do anything about it while her boss was in front of her.
“How you doing hun? I just wanted to let you know two things. One, the mac and cheese is coming out soon. I made sure to put some aside in the back too in the fridge for you to take later tonight” she stated, making note of how the obese rabbit’s face lit up, her two chins wobbling as she wiped the drool off of her face. “Second, I was wondering if you could maybe help me with something?”
“Hmm? What do you need? I’m kind of in the middle of something right now”, Cassie replied, not wanting to get up and do anything while she was still hungry.
“Oh no, not now. No, I was wondering if you can help me with my niece. She’s coming to town in a couple of weeks and is looking to get into fitness. Seeing as how you’re the expert in this town, I was hoping you could give her some pointers?”
Cassie thought about it for a moment. Sure, she knew she would be able to help anyone if given the right amount of time, but it didn’t sound like this would be more than a one-off thing. If that was the case, she knew there was no way she’d be able to help Annette’s niece out at all. She figured that might hurt her standing with her boss, which might mean worse hours and probably not being able to take home any more food. She did not want that to happen.
“It depends on if I’m working I guess. If I’m not, I guess I can help out. Is she really dedicated to this kind of thing? It’s not an easy field to get in to, it requires a lot of discipline and hard work. It comes naturally to me, but is she into fitness, or is it just a hobby?”
Annette struggled to hold back a laugh as she listened to Cassie talk about being disciplined and hard working. She knew for a fact that the rabbit hadn’t worked out in months and probably couldn’t run one lap without passing out. She just smiled politely as she figured out how to respond.
“Well”, she started, biting her tongue momentarily so the laughing wouldn’t come, “I know she did some courses in college for physical therapy. I don’t know if that including personal training or anything like that. She’s also in pretty good shape; she’s run half marathons and some obstacle courses, so I know she is fit.”
“That’s good at least. I guess it’s if you want to give me off. I can probably help her out. Just remind her about the altitude up here. Even I get winded with it sometimes, and I’m in peak physical shape.”
She tried to give a little flex of her bicep, but all she ended up doing was causing herself to not only sweat and exert herself too much, but her arm would not stop jiggling, even as she brought it down. The giraffe just smiled.
“Perfect. I’ll make sure to give you off that day. Let me go tell her you’re going to help. She’s going to be so excited!”
Annette turned to leave, but paused. She grinned devilishly as she thought of something else, something that would make Kay even more pleased.
“Oh, one more thing. Do you think you could show her some of your favorite work outs? It would really help her even more. I’ll even pay you for the day.”
Cassie sighed. She knew this probably would lead to embarrassment for Annette and her niece, but, if she was going to get paid, she figured she could go easy on her. She just hoped the air quality would cooperate.
“You got it, boss.”
Both furs smiled, for completely different, devious reasons.

I think she’s either both or fully in denial, I’m curious if she realizes this and just embraces her obesity later on.

Is Cassie delusional or suffering the most extreme case of denial in history? Anybody who's that morbidly obese still thinking they're in peak physical fitness cannot be all right in the head.
