Bulking Up (And Out) Pt 16
🕑 Added 2022-09-15 20:03:36 +0000 UTCHey all. Hope you're doing ok.
I figured since it was my birthday I'd spread a little cheer and post the next part a day early. Next week we're back to our regular schedule.
Enjoy.
*
One afternoon, it just happened. A moment that Kay would have loved to have seen, hell a moment everyone would have loved to have seen. Sadly, the only thing that people got to see was the aftermath, and the resolve that had been sparked because of said event.
The buffet had been quiet as football had returned to the national scene and most furs were anxious to see their team play. It was only the 5th game of the season, but it was already a big game. As a result, NO ONE was in the restaurant. Literally.
Annette told her staff that since the game was going on, they’d probably just close shop early. No need to keep everyone around to just sit and do nothing. The other staff were ok with this, all except Cassie. No, the rabbit wasn’t ready to leave, not until she had what was coming to her.
With Cassie’s prodding and urging, Annette had decided that she was going to make her famous pumpkin pies to celebrate the start of fall. She had even gone out and spent money on advertising to let everyone know it would be done the first week of October. Everyone was eager to enjoy the luscious treats, including a certain rabbit who once stated she was not a pumpkin pie person. October 3rd could not arrive soon enough.
That of course took a back seat when the Colorado Blizzard’s decided to open the football season 4-0 and were about to meet their hated rivals the Texas Tornado’s in a battle for first place. On Sunday. At 4 pm. Right when Annette was going to take out her pies. It had been a disaster.
Cassie however did not see it that way. Her rationale was, if no one else was around to enjoy them, SHE would enjoy them. She asked Annette to bring them out but the giraffe was in a foul mood and believed she would just keep them in the fridge, maybe even put them in the freezer and serve them at another time.
“Why not just bring out a few for us to enjoy? I’m sure the girls would like one” Cassie asked, slowly rising from her bent stool. The poor metal frame was beginning to bend under her bulk, meaning it was almost time for a new stool.
“I’ll give you all one to take home, the rest are going in the storage fridge. Not going to waste the time and effort of bringing them all out for no reason.”
She turned to the back as she heard Cassie pant as she shuffled her thick thighs to make it to a more comfortable table. She had already made the usual motion to one of her “friends” on the wait staff who was going to make her a plate. The rabbit had just started the process of lowering her bulk slowly on the chair when she did not realize how far she was from the chair and went in too hot. The result was her crashing to the ground, destroying the two chairs in her vicinity, as well as her pants which burst apart on the sides. She was now just on the floor, her fat ass swallowing up bits of broken wood.
Her boss had not seen it happen but had heard the loud boom and thud that was a result. She turned around to see her employee stuck on the floor. Annette did not know how to react. No one did. Much less Cassie, who was flat on her ass, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Her brain at first thought she had just slipped, that she had stepped in a puddle or something and it had caused her to fall. That might have worked until she shifted slightly and felt something sharp digging into her plush rear. Straining to grab it, Cassie was stunned to see that it was in fact the broken leg from of the dining room chairs. She gazed at it for a moment, confused as to why it would be there. Had she slipped and fallen awkwardly, breaking the chair? An even more scary thought hit her brain, “had she sat and broken the chair?”
She knew she had gained a few pounds, it was hard not to figure that out. She had thought that a cushy job and being around fat furs had made her a little lazy, but not to the point she was breaking chairs. She thought about it more and more but as she tried to understand the situation fully, she heard laughter. Craning her neck slightly to the right, she saw her boss, laughing at her.
And this wasn’t just a regular ha-ha laugh, no, this was an on the floor, rolling around, laugh in your face like I just pulled off the greatest prank laugh she had ever seen. Annette looked like she was going to die laughing in fact. The giraffe had turned bright red from all the laughing, almost to the point she started wheezing instead of laughing. She finally recovered enough to get to her knees and pull herself up, though she still would giggle whenever she looked at her employee on her butt.
It was at this moment that Cassie believed she had figured out what had happened. Annette had rigged the chair. It was simple as that, she had rigged the chair. She had seen the rabbit sit in that chair for months now, and, because she had helped her decide to make pies that now no one was going to eat, this was payback. She knew the rabbit had gained a few pounds, and, what better way to get her back then to think she had blown up in size and was so big she was breaking chairs? And, with how much she was laughing, when barely any of the other staff were laughing, fit just too perfectly. It made just too much sense NOT to be true.
Thus, the denial that had been in her brain all these months now turned into something else, rage. Rage that she had been humiliated and rage that the giraffe thought she could get away with this. No, Cassie wouldn’t let her get away with this, no way. She just had to figure out how she would get her back.
“Ha-ha-ha. Ok, let me help you up Cass”, Annette said, still laughing as she grunted and strained to help the rabbit get back to her two feet.
Cassie did not even thank her, she just picked the remnants of the chair off her now visible rear, both cheeks wobbling as she did so.
“That, well, that, huff, was unpleasant.”
“Faulty, ha-ha-ha, chairs. I’ll look into the rest of them. For now, let’s get you to the back and I’ll send you home with a couple of pies. I’ll have Deborah help me lock up.”
“That was it”, Cassie said to herself. “The pies!”
Every night, when Annette was locking up shop, she’d be in office for over two hours, adding up things, and just generally preparing for the next day. The other person would scan the rest of the restaurant and make sure things were ready to go in the morning. That usually meant that person had about an hour to an hour and a half of just sitting around doing nothing. Cassie decided she was going to pay her boss back, and then some. Annette wanted to imply she was fat? She’d show her fat.
She would tell Annette that she had been scanning everything when she saw that the pumpkin pies were melting. The fridge hadn’t turned on and all the pies were ruined, so she threw them in the dumpster. Unless her boss actually went in the dumpster, she’d have no way of knowing what actually happened.
Instead of throwing them out though, Cassie was going to eat them all, well, as many as she could. She knew there were probably two dozen back there, so she knew she wasn’t going through them all. However, just the thought of paying Annette back was enough to motivate her to try and eat them all. She could afford one really bad day to get revenge for someone who embarrassed her so.
“Hey, huff, Annette. I’ll, gasp, help you close. I, whew, can help for this little accident.”
Her boss saw just how exhausted she was from just standing back up, she didn’t think she’d be able to help much. However, she also knew that she could just leave the rabbit in a booth and let her relax, there wasn’t much to do anyway. She’d just have the other girls wrap things up and then go in the office for a bit. No harm, no foul.
“Alright, that works. I’ll just let you relax a bit and get your bearings; the others will help me close up a little first.”
As Cassie watched the others begin shutting things down, she smiled as she heard her own stomach rumble. This was going to be fun. Delicious fun.

Ironic that on your birthday, you decided to give us a present. Happy belated one, BTW! Also, damn! You know, I almost thought this was finally going to be Cassie's wakeup call, but nope. Her mind is too fractured with denial and delusion to admit the painfully obvious. As for her pie eating plan, way to further seal your own fate, land whale. Great job either way!
