“See you, urp, tomorrow, Teresa”, Gina said to the otter as she began stuffing a taco in her mouth.
She was just finishing up her lunch break, ending it as she usually did with a trip to the “Taco Hut”. It was how she ended most of her day shifts, starting with pizza, working over to a burger and then finishing with tacos. All foods that she could eat while walking around.
As she munched on her meal, she passed the new buffet that had been opened up in place of the gym she had worked at. She shuddered as she saw one of her co-workers seated at a table, mounds of food in front of him, his big gut dangling just above the floor.
“What, chomp, a fat ass.”
Gina had stuck to places at lunch that she could eat their food while walking. She viewed herself in a class above her coworkers, nowhere near as fat as them. They tried being nice to her, but she viewed herself as being better than them. Even as they brought in food that she had no problem eating, Gina considered herself to be in better shape than them.
That however was no longer the case. When she had started, she was the smallest guard by far, having to constantly hike up her pants so they wouldn’t fall down and expose herself to everyone. Now, over a year into her job, Gina no longer had to hike up her pants, instead she had to struggle to get in them. Her bloated thighs prevented the pants from going up smoothly, they usually would bunch up and she would have to resort to laying down to pull them up. In fact, her thighs had bloated up so much, rips had formed on the outside of the tan pants.
Up top, her formerly baggy shirt was unable to completely button up, her increasingly hairy paunch hanging out to rest on top of her thighs, thighs that were fiercely rubbing together and chaffing them to no end. Her top was covered in food stains and sweat, a testament to how slobby and gluttonous she was getting. Her uniform, which had been several sizes too big when she got it, was now several sizes too small.
As she brought the taco up to her fully double chinned face, she heard a slight tear come from her arm, her flabby bicep had finally burst through the sleeve.
“I’ll, chomp, have to talk to Kyle about a new uniform, these have shrunk way too much”, she said to herself as she slowly made her way back to her post.
As she got close to the employee entrance, she that there was no one at the pretzel stand. Her stomach growled, begging her to get more sustenance, even after eating two slices of pepperoni pizza, a triple bacon cheeseburger with chipotle aioli and two overstuffed burritos in the span of an hour.
“I need my strength for the rest of my, burp, shift. Don’t want to, belch, fade away”, she rationalized as she waddled to the front of the stand, eager to make her next selection.
