Here's a comparison of the two.
- "Why are your prices so high!?" I know someone is going to think or ask this, lol. They seem high but this is my only job, and taking into account minimum wage, subtracting the cost of rent, bills, groceries and NA health insurance, let's just say I'm not exactly flush with cash.
- "Can I pay in installments?" You are welcome to break the cost down into multiple payments and I will give you the corresponding amount of work until it's paid off. For instance, if you want to break a watercolored image down into three installments, I can give you the sketch, the lineart, then the final image as payments are received.
- Props - Depends on difficulty and base price of the commission. Most character design details are free, I only charge extra if it's a very complex costume, most weapons, an animal companion, wings, etc. For these details, I usually ask for a little bit more.
- Backgrounds - Depends entirely on the level of detail and how long is spent. Very detailed backgrounds can be an additional 75-100% of the base price, or a rough sketchy version can be done for less. I can do simple things such as changing the background color, adding a gradient or basic shape for no additional fee.
- Additional characters - Added characters are about 75% of the price of a separate commission, depending on how much the characters overlap. If there are many other characters (like a large group photo), I can do a bulk discount. If it's a simple pet like a shoulder parrot or something, that counts as a prop.
- Variants - Variations on an image, for example, having the same character in two different outfits will typically be an additional 50-75% to the base price for the variant. Unless the variant is something very simple of course, like a different hair color, which would be much less.
- Character design/characters based on text description - I can do this for an additional cost, unless the specifics aren't precise. For example, if the only guideline is "just draw me a cute fairy" then there's be no extra cost for that.
- Rush orders - I can put your commission on top priority and finish it in a couple days (give or take, depending on how complex it is) for an additional fee. Note that I don't take long with commissions anyway, and they're usually done within a week or two on average. Also please keep in mind to account for any possible downtime which might result from confirming the sketch through email correspondence and if our respective time zones are opposite each other.
- Revisions - concerning sketch commissions specifically: revisions cost a small amount depending on how big the change is (very minor stuff doesn't matter) but if I need to change the position of the arm or something, I will have to ask for a bit of extra payment. This is because a sketch is what would've been the under-drawing of a fully-rendered piece, but with sketch commissions, you're paying for that as the final result. If that makes sense, lol. If you want a specific pose, be sure to provide a clear reference. Or for a small amount, I can draw a preliminary thumbnail to avoid potential need for revisions. Major revisions are free with fully-rendered commissions during the sketch phase.
- Commercial use - If you plan on using your commission commercially, please notify me before sending payment, as these prices are for personal use.
- 18+ - I'm not accepting NSFW commissions atm. I can make drawings suggestive though
