Major Project: Scalp Massager

First, I want to emphasize that this project will not impact my current release schedule. I will continue to produce content.
Back to the project, there are these wearable scalp massagers online:
They all have default vibration profiles that repeats for 10-15 minutes, but what I want to do is make a networked version of these that can be synchronized to audio / video files. Imagine the vibration profiles tailor made to each ASMR / hypnosis / instruction videos. I bought one of these to try out and it can produce some pretty skull tingling effect coupled with binaural sounds. Each head can be programmed individually, so for example, you can rotate the vibrations to produce a whirling effect around your skull.
Of course, I can't be the only person creating all the massage profiles, I'll be creating a website that'll allow content creators to upload their own videos and create their own synchronized massage profiles, and potentially monetize their work. Users will be paying a subscription fee to access the content. The details can be worked out later.
Addressing some obvious considerations:
1. Practicality. I have a background in computer engineering, I'm fairly confident I can bring the hardware and the website to market, the question is just at what cost. There are no technical hurdles, I'm already working on the specifications with several manufacturers.
2. Competition. Lovense, for example, is well established for remote controlled sex toys, but not for something like this, and they focus more on real time play. In a sense, this is not a sex toy and I think it's an advantage. The massager works just as well with typical YouTube relaxation videos. It would appeal to a larger audience than pure play sex toys.
3. VR compatibility. I imagine the experience would be even better with VR setups. But unfortunately that would require too much hardware modifications up front. Maybe do it as a feature in later models.
4. AI. It is technically possible to use AI algorithm to automatically create massage profiles based on video/audio files. It would save content creators a lot of time, but require significant development cost. Again, maybe a feature in the future.

I've looked at quite a few products on the market. Most of the bluetooth ones only use it for playing music. The ones that have vibration control all want to charge an arm and leg to use their API. I am making my own actually. It'll be controlled directly by website, no need for mobile apps or any other intermediates.

I have participated in some group type events (the guy who makes polar video hosts sessions and when I first got my Machine I was very fond diffusing the software to handover control of it too either a program or people on the Internet) so the concept is very interesting. Practically speaking to think cost matters – if it’s a dollar, hell yes. If it’s $100, I’m still with you. If it’s $1000 or more (like the fuckyeah machine) then it’s sexy but I’m probably out. Anything to accentuate that sense that the computer is in control and I am not.
