Changing to subscription-based billing
🕑 Added 2023-02-01 00:54:10 +0000 UTCHello! I wanted to talk about this change in the way patrons are charged.
Basically, it now works the same as subscription services in the way that new patrons will get charged the same day of the month they first signed in. That way, even if new patrons join near the end of the month, they won't get charged again on the 1st.
This doesn't change the way existing patrons pay, since you are already being charged once a month only, it's more of a way to help new patrons not to get charged twice.
Patreon introduced this feature a couple of months ago, and at the end I decided to switch over to this payment method, since I don't really lose anything from it, and it benefits potential patrons.

Ikr, weird it wasn't planned that way since the beginning. And of course! It also makes it easier for people that joined in the past to come back when they see content they want.

It feels like this kind of feature should have been around ages ago. Glad that patreon has added it though and you've opened it up for new patreons!
