4K vs 8K question
🕑 Added 2022-09-13 08:33:38 +0000 UTCWould you guys actually want 8K versions of renders? I always thought 4K, which is 2160p (shortest edge) is enough, but what is your opinion on it?
It'd take much more time to render, but a lot of details would be visible. I don't even know if it's needed as I use non-standard aspect ratios (usually 3:2 instead of 16:9)

4K is really great because it doesn't take so much time to render as 8K. It grows exponentially unfortunately. Though you're right, maybe I'll try it out on some renders

Yeah, screen wallpaper-like images should work. And you're right, those where body details are main focus would probably be a great opportunity to check it out

I honestly think 4k is fine enough as is. Maybe do an 8k image to test the waters with it? Personally though, I am more than okay with 4k.

I think 4k as standard is good. I would only use 8k, if you want to make wallpaper-like images or if you want to focus more on details. Images like the Seraphine selfies or the KDA/Kaisa and Pool Ahri images would again do well as 8k.
