🚨Warning about ADHD gum chewing: I found out the hack in college, and I was often chomping on gum while studying and in class. By the end of college, my pre-existing TMJ had gotten like 10x worse, and doctors told me I’m no longer supposed to chew gum. 😔 if I could go back in time, I’d rip that gum out of my mouth. Didn’t even make me test better and now I have arthritis in my jaw lol. So watch out, folks!

Ooh on the chewing gum for cognitive function thing - I'm from florida and every time we had to take the yearly common core exam (ours was called the FCAT, it started in 3rd grade) the proctors/teachers gave us peppermints and chewing gum, and they would CRANK the A/C so we wouldnt get sleepy. They also would drill us to eat a real breakfast, and when we got to school they had pre-testing snacks too lmao. They did anything and everything to improve our chances

Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton come to mind as well as Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera, though there are many more couples who married each other twice. I think you should look further into animal breeding because animals being bred without intercourse is extremely common. Most breeding of farm animals does not involve intercourse. It's farmers implanting females themselves. Happens with dogs too and all kinds of animals. I'm not saying it makes it right, I'm just letting you know it's already been happening all over the world, like forever. It's important for us to understand animals agriculture and how animal are treated everywhere

Maybe it’s just me but the first thing that popped into my head regarding IVF and animals is, is it a violation to force an animal to be pregnant without its consent? Like I know people breed animals all the time but at least the animals are aware they’re having intercourse right? Just randomly becoming pregnant sounds horrific, but maybe that is just my human brain. Also for ADHD I had a randomly good hack for a while which was getting a Java chip frappuchino from Starbucks - I think it was like the perfect mix of sugar and caffeine but it made me alert and focused and productive like nothing else. But alas they are so bad for you. So I’m open to new ideas lmao.

My tried and true adhd hack is to have a pair of “house shoes”. They’re a pair of white sneakers that I ONLY wear inside the house to get shit done (dishes, cleaning, laundry, etc) Something about wearing laces up shoes tells my brain to be productive. Once I’m barefoot my brain turns to mush and I’m just a cozy girl with no thoughts.

Speaking of autism in women! Sarah schauer has spoken a lot about that in their podcasts, and often discusses books and such related to it! The old one the bcc club and the new one schauer thoughts have been good for me! Also I’ve found clinking mints around my mouth works similarly to gum, I’ve had tmj since high school and stopped chewing gum but I sometimes try to just stick to mints so I’m not mindlessly eating to have the oral stimulation 😅 Also drinking with a straw is so hard but it’s true you suck down soo much air! For awhile I was pausing before drinking to let the extra air out of my mouth 😂😂 also carbonated drinks obviously cause bloating too 🥲 I miss being a kid with no food or stomach issues lol
