Ok I saw this as a musical in 1997 and remember nothing about it except being so excited to see Wilson Cruz bc I was a my so called life girlie, but then I looked up the rest of the cast from when I saw it and NEIL PATRICK HARRIS played mark lmao (back then his only other credit was doogie howser 🤓)

Loved this. I will always have a soft spot for Rent, middle school me was so obsessed with this movie (for unknown reasons at the time, but looking back I was a gay middle schooler, of course I had to look up every reference in La Vie Boheme). Re: offensive characters, Maureen kind of plays that ~slutty bisexual who will cheat on you~ caricature, but I don’t hate it??
