Man I just had to come here from YouTube and see the alt reaction, 5$ worth every penny. I w been loving this duo between you two. I'm a massive Mythos nerd and love "music that tells a story" so when I found Epic and all the animatics it's hit me right in my soul. Ok back to the youtube playlist to continue the journey. I posted this on Youtube to but FUN FACT Steven the voice of Poseidon almost did not Voice him cause schedule conflicts so I THINK Jay delayed Ocean Saga's Release till Steven was free

(In my uninformed opinion) I think that was always supposed to be the case. Posiedon may have culturally moved to the sea, but I think he was always supposed to be the reigning diety of the surface of the earth, to match Zeus' control in the sky and Hades' domain of underneath the earth. One of Posiedon's most well known epithets is Earth-shaker, after all.

I don’t know if I’m reading too much into it but are so many reasons this interpretation of Poseidon is SO FREAKING GOOD it kills me: first, including the “God of Horses” aspect of poseidon, of course. Then, the fluidity of his movements and how easily he changes from one form to another JUST LIKE WATER CAN. Then the darkness of his horse form which not only is a nice reminder of the “I am your darkest moment” thing, but also reminds me of the abyss of the ocean; unexplored and terrifying in its seeming endlessness, and one of the only places on Earth where the sun’s light can’t reach. And THEN the neon blue color of his eyes and smile in that form, which makes me think of the predators of the ocean’s deep, who use the light to lure prey in through the darkness. And the way the eyes and the smile follow the waves as Poseidon kills Odysseus’ men? It’s SO GOOD YOU GUYS I CAN’T adsfghdfadgffh
