TLS Art Preview #37: Oops, all Liliths!
I wasn't sure how to tackle a scene as weird as Lilith's repeatable chaos, so we decided to just go overboard. This is excessive, but now Lilith is done and we proceed with the plan as before.I have to say, this all makes me inordinately happy. ^-^ There has been enormous amounts of porn drawn for the common fetishes, but I think I break some new ground here. I doubt there's been much art drawn of blushing lamps, the Megaboob scene di...
August 13 Update
Before the main topic, some housekeeping. Earlier this week, I put out another art post for $10 backers. Above this post, you see a lovely piece of artwork from Annikath's Twitter! This isn't from me, so it's either someone else's request or her own fanart. Anyway, I quite like it - consider it canon that when Hilstara is pushed to such a degree, after the battle her allies reward her with some relief. ^-^Anyway, this week I want ...
TLS Art Preview #36
This set was done a while ago and either I forgot to post it, or I forgot that I posted it. Release brain no work. =/First we have Restoring Riala, where I gave Annikath the difficult task of illustrating a subtle emotional shift that's easier to describe than draw - I decided to change Simon from Translucent Dick Provider to fully rendered to mirror this. Then we have Aka and Varia in another threesome and Altina's final affection scene....
August 6 Update
Three things today! First, one more comic from Argo - it's funny to imagine what the player's actions would look like, if you assume they're literal 1:1 events in the world. ^-^Second, I have another book out! Since the comic already took the main slot, I'll put the cover here:Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CDQBTQ38I tried something different for the Amazon algorithm, and it's too early to say if it worked, but it means tha...
July 30 Update
Another meme, this one from the Discord, I believe. There aren't many left, but this has been quite a run of fan content! One thing I've had to work on as a creator is dealing with slower times. It isn't productive to bang your head against a wall, but it is possible to be lazy and not re-engage when you could. Are you courting burnout or do you need to push yourself? It's a difficult process of discernment that's probably a li...
July 23 Update
Instead of a meme this week, we have a new piece of fanart! This just showed up on Steam one day and I didn't notice until now. ^-^I get a fairly steady stream of requests for TLS, so with less forward progress the previous weeks, I've been trying to get on top of those. Let me talk about a paired set of the requests and why I can sometimes be slow to respond to them when I'm entrenched in creating new content. One suggestion was that ...
July 16 Update
First up, we have another meme. This one actually had a ton of variants, of which I posted only three. The rest have all gone into the art folder, for when I eventually update the art package.I could call this week "distracted" but I'm not sure if that's actually the appropriate term. There are some weeks where my core creative progress is dragged down by various minor or administrative tasks, and this wasn't one. It's pro...
Seeking Readers for Something Different
You guys have heard me talk about publication from time to time, both my ongoing series as Sarah Lin and other projects. There's actually a long circuitous route from a novella through networking through behind-the-scenes dealings, which I haven't written about because it hasn't been particularly interesting.Anyway, there's a project that has languished for about two years while I put most of my work into TLS and other more practi...
July 9 Update
Early post because I want to burrow into work. Starting with continued memes, this time a little comic. ^-^TLS 0.68.2 is finally out. Lots of people playing it according to Steam analytics, but everything's quiet on my end. Work on 0.69.x content continues, and I realize that there are probably going to be jokes about it being the 69th update. This will be a big one, and I haven't fully decided how to execute some aspects, so I cannot pre...
TLS 0.68.2 Public Release
The newest release of TLS is public! More info and links here:https://the-last-sovereign.blogspot.com/2023/07/tls-0682-public-release.htmlAlso, some lovely fanart, just as a taste of the fun things for patrons. ^-^ Hopefully the censorship algorithms declare this one acceptable. But otherwise, please enjoy the update!
July 2 Update
I still have a series of memes and comics, but we're interrupted by more TLS fanart! This is another high priestess fantasy from genericname12345, hope everyone enjoys. ^-^So, as you may have noticed, during April/May/June I managed to release TLS updates every month, just like old times. That "may" isn't purely rhetorical. No one (within my sphere of attention) seemed to care or indeed to notice at all. Negative inputs didn't...
TLS 0.68.2 Release
I'm making this one available to all patrons! In part because this is an older build that had an extended release window due to my vacation, but also out of gratitude for every single patron who helps give me my career. ^-^Link: https://mega.nz/file/islkzKAa#ZorYK2_FCKcnmelfpUSDTtYZgR6LxE8oDofeKDH77zARTP: https://mega.nz/file/ToV2QK5C#kAuk57KVCwdVmoK2NQrZRWfb057xvI_D2lDJonXodIITLS 0.68.2- Hopefully final tweaks to this content. This is another...
June 25 Update
Hey, everybody! I'm back, not dead or lost at sea or anything. Alright, let's just check my email...Not so many for a week, and there are lots of flight notifications and stuff. Let's see how my Sierra Lee address is doing...Whew boy, but I guess that's to be expected with an update out. Let's hope the automated post over at Sarah Lin went well...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaI'm being somewhat facetious, of course. ^-^ I&...
June 18 Update
I'm on vacation, so this is Robo-Sierra. I should be back by next weekend, so meanwhile just enjoy this new beach Yarra from Annikath. ^-^
TLS 0.68.1 Release
This is a cleanup build so everyone has a decent base to play from while I'm gone. I'm leaving up the previous post's links just in case there are any surprise problems added in this one.Link: https://mega.nz/file/Khln0QjC#fcNvfxds2wgNWm1OtQJepb5P0wZjlvgrEKcmXo7MIUcTLS 0.68.1- Cleanup, bugfixes, added images, and polishing.Relatively shortly (but not immediately), I will be away and no longer seeing messages. I wish everyone well in t...
June 11 Update
The newest TLS update is out. The good news is that things seem to be stable and I'm on top of all reports. The not so good news is that this is only because this update received very few reactions. Is there something going on this weekend I'm too disconnected to realize? I try to release content when it won't interfere with people's schedules.I've been slipping this past week, the most obvious lapse being sending out the $10 ...
TLS 0.68.0 Release
Surprise, it's release time! Or maybe not a surprise, I did tell everyone that the next update would be coming sooner. In any case, this should be enough text that the links aren't publicly visible.Link: https://mega.nz/file/S4EQnLRQ#wo9YeB0QYuzQe4GBbzuRIrsOzAadcgrtDHOEreKceFgRTP: https://mega.nz/file/asV1DTYK#-4ljmERqUwQUepzhmGt9Oh1SDw6376neasj_GORg2acv68- New harem quest beginning in the Renthnor Wilds.- New harem quest beginning in Org...
TLS Art Preview #35
This set is both small and large: fewer scenes, but more images, including the new record for most variants on a single scene. It wasn't planned, but we get first times from two characters (Ginasta and Robin) and a "last time" for Hilstara (her final affection scene). In other news: aaaah there's too much going on. Usually my deadlines are entirely self-imposed, but right now I have to get things done or there will actually be (min...
June 4 Update
(It turns out there's a lot more fan content! I'm going to show everything I've been sent week to week, so those who aren't in the various communities can see it. Please feel free to send me things, as it's likely I won't see them otherwise.)Never sure how to talk about time. Patreon, this industry, and creators in general can go in several directions. There are some who are accused of being lazy while there are also other...
May 28 Update
(I actually wrote this post a while back, then there wasn't time for it between updates going out. It's still basically current, it just feels odd to read something I wrote a while back when I had more free time. Also, there is an unplanned meme! This is another one from Argo and Annikath, and apparently they memed about it on Discord, but I have been too busy to notice.)Time for another meandering post. I played a popular retro RPG recent...
TLS 0.67.2 Public Release
Hear ye, hear ye, get your public version here:https://the-last-sovereign.blogspot.com/2023/05/tls-0672-public-release.htmlPatreon post on Sunday as usual. Have memes and game design notes.
May 21 Update
Quite a few new patrons these days (though I also recognize some old names ^-^). I have so-so metrics on traffic, but Patreon's internal data has never been great. Any patrons who have joined recently, want to tell me where you're from and how you found TLS?Anyway, we have more fanart! You can see it above, but also please click on the link to Pink Seito's Twitter to give them metrics. Interesting to see where all TLS appears!TLS 0.67...
TLS 0.67.1 Release
New version after a week of polishing. Perhaps the final iteration of this build? Hopefully close, but I wouldn't count on it. This one also includes minor trivial features, such as the art that was supposed to be in the last build.Link: https://mega.nz/file/y9FyRBAD#joR0uiB6FNzpWzyOVQdPPYwMGldWvigSF5H6KaELhEATLS 0.67.1- Various changes and additions behind the scenes. Optimization is overall easier, but the negative consequences are more sev...
May 14 Update
TLS 0.67.0 is out and I'm glad people seem generally happy with the succession crisis resolution. I will probably need to make the math underneath more complicated, which will necessitate more balancing. The irony is that the difference won't be visible to most players. But I don't want to pull a Telltale Games and just pretend that choices matter, so more complexity it is.For some reason I have all kinds of energy to stay on top of m...
TLS 0.67.0 Release
Time for some long-awaited content! I hope everyone will enjoy this update and the culmination of this long-running storyline. Let me know if you guys would like to see the updated roadmap here, otherwise I'll just put them on the blog and Steam.Link: https://mega.nz/file/a4VQgKrC#iZIqwd5fZl4rwyyrsD2UaIR6m4FYNHdQosgVRiKPgCERTP: https://mega.nz/file/Xl1DQT7Z#RV-zzdtOhU4S8efchvfS1sSiZN9fw-sK2Nj2n1Nmvz00.67.0- The succession crisis can now be re...
May 7 Update
First, some fanart that Annikath posted! I don't believe I've shown this one before. Her Patreon and Twitter have a lot of "alternate universe" scenarios featuring TLS characters that you might enjoy.TLS 0.67.0 will feature the conclusion of the succession crisis. This isn't a general intention or an aspiration: the content is finished and tested.I'll admit I struggled to complete this because people have expressed so much...
April 30 Update
I had a themed development post written up, then this week went really well and I decided that I shouldn't distract myself. But then I ended up with a lot of things to report this week: Posted another art preview for $10 patrons, with some lovely new scenes. ^-^ Also updated the big image pack, which is now 2.7 gigabytes of TLS scenes, fanart, and more! These posts don't include the above fanart I just received from patron TheShrubKing, w...
TLS Art Preview #34
Another big set, four scenes and five base images with many variations! I'm happy we finally got to Hilstara/Lynine, which is one of my favorites, and I also think that Megail + Orilise turned out well. We don't usually have two base images for one scene, but I really like the second one so I'm glad I made an exception. In other news, the art pack for $10 patrons has been updated! This was another ridiculous update, adding another full...
April 22 Update
Maybe all the secondary work is past! Full focus forward! Hopefully. I think I may have finally gotten all the rebranding things done, but let me know if you see old artwork anywhere except the following:- The trailers on Steam. (will change eventually)- Random forum posts. (don't care)- Steam assets for the Yarra's Thanks DLC. (maybe)Speaking of rebranding, I decided to make a post showing off all the new title cards. Not everyone has ac...
TLS 0.66.2 Public Release
Though there will no doubt be further improvements to this section, I sincerely hope this will be the stable build for the next while. No need for any hotfixes like last time, just pushing forward to the next content update. That said, do report if you run into any issues and, as always, I'll try to stay on top of things.See the blog for links:https://the-last-sovereign.blogspot.com/2023/04/tls-0662-public-release.htmlNot much else to say.
