Erika

She volunteered for Project Glimmer in order to use the monetary compensation to pay for her sister's hospital fees. Her role was to produce eggs like the other bug girls so that Emily can use her as a test subject to try to develop a way to keep them from producing eggs automatically. So far, tests have been positive, and though Erika started with a very high production rate, she makes eggs only sparsely, something she is very thankful for.

Alice

Although being one of my main characters, Alice belongs to The Glimmer Note universe, being Designation 009. She volunteered as a test subject for Project Glimmer, and became a bug girl of some kind who is constantly generating eggs, and thus is perpetually pregnant. She lays a full clutch of eggs every three days, though they have been all infertile thus far.

Mel

Mel was the first recipient of the results of Project Glimmer, the research project run by Emily and Sam to harness the power of The Change and control it. Mel is married to Ashley, and was incredibly jealous of the rest of The Changed, causing her to volunteer to be the first test subject. However, due to some unseen corruption in the code, Mel developed many, many more breasts that was intended. Not that she minds.

Sam

Emily's assistant, Sam, was caught in the crossfire, so to speak, when Emily invited the Note upon herself in the name of research. Where Emily became a water elemental, Sam became a plant girl. She's also the last of the original, "organic" members of The Changed. Future Changes were artificially induced by Emily and Sam during clinical trials to volunteers.

Emily

Lead scientist of Project Glimmer, she seeks to harness the power of The Change to seize command of human development for the greater good and unleash the potential of organic life. After undergoing The Change herself as part of the original set of seven, she became a water elemental, though her control is not as perfect as she'd like.

Ashley

It took a while for Ashley to master the slithering of her new snake-like body, but once she did, it was strangely liberating. Her body was much more... flexible now.

Kendra

Originally the Note's biggest detractor, Kendra came to love her new fate.

Lily

Unlike the other of the first seven, Lily practically begged for The Change, and got exactly what she wanted. Does she ever stop touching herself? No. The answer is no.

Sara

Sara, the second character in The Glimmer Note to undergo The Change, a phenomenon of extra-terrestrial origin that altered human women in increasingly strange ways.
