October 2020 Commission: Untethered

STORY TIME! (it's also in the attached zip as a .txt file)Patreon Commission for October 2020!Can't say this wasn't an adventure, and not gonna lie, it was a bit too much, even for me. I guess I DO have limits after all lmao, I just realized this when it was too late to turn back. :^) But in the end, adding the little story made it better I think, and I know there are people who enjoy this kind of thing even at face value. So enjoy may...

Embraced

She created all that moss (maybe???) and now she needs a lil nap. Or maybe she just likes napping in the moss, I mean who wouldn't, right?A direct continuation of her intro, and also a birthday gift for ECMajor!Enjoy! :D

A crestie's secret journal - entry 16

"I did some urbexing today - some sort of abandoned factory. Was nice (because hey, it's urbex!), but ultimately it was just a huge, empty hall. Long story short: felt underwhelmed, got carried away, regretted nothing. This kinda setup was something I've been wanting to try for a while, but didn't exactly know how. Et voila, deus ex machina while doing something completely unrelated. That was nice. But the nicest thing about this w...

Where no dog has gone before

And here it finally is - the first (out of four) pieces for that #ThankYouPatrons thing from last year. I'm sorry it took so long - I've been a mess for quite a while. Still am, but at least I'm still going! And I guess it's better to go slow than risk burnout.ANYWAY, here are the ideas Patrons had for Adreea:Most of them made it in, and the rest KINDA made it in!Next I'll be working on the Cake piece (or piece of Cake, if you...

September 2020 Commission: Utakaso

- The pebble will have cleansed you by now, we can pull it out.- Oh nice, it was kinda weighing me down a bit over those few days!- I am aware.- I mean I'm not saying it was a bad thing or anything, just kinda uhhh... I could use some breathing room for a bit haha!- I can certainly imagine.- So uhhh, when is the next time we're doing this again?- Kebibi, this was supposed to be a medicinal ritual, not THAT.- I knowww, it was just... reall...

But nobody told her she's gonna fit easily though the hole in that tube. Someone's gonna get more wet than planned, and then someone else is gonna get b i t e d .A gift for me bro.Posting it in full size for all Patrons because everybody needs a nice thing from time to time. <3Enjoy! :D

Squimsh

And there you have it! That cloth-sim-enhanced-exercise-test-piece I mentioned last time. It was a bit of a challenge, but that was exactly the point. If this kind of thing was doable without driving me insane, AND came out pretty nice, then I can do bloody anything with it. Frickin Pixologic and their eldritch magic because I know it's not regular programming.Jinjing-Yu's expression and the character interactions are enhanced with cloth ...

Get cheesed: batch #1

A few days ago, ZBrush 2021 came out. It can now do EFFORTLESS AND FAST CLOTH SIM. This post is me practicing with said cloth sim, and as you can see, making good use of it. But what you may not realize is that the expressions are also enhanced with it (very clearly visible on Adreea's grimace)! With the right settings and brush strokes (which in true ZBrush fashion aren't complicated at all), I can simulate flesh physics. Wrinkles, skin ...

August 2020 Commission: Share a cookie with a friend

The cookie is a bit soggy, but I'm sure most of you would eat it anyway.I am so happy with the lighting in this. ;3; And I maaaay have come up with a way to vastly improve the skin shaders' look in postwork. Not sure yet; needs more testing.Enjoy! :D

Just a quick heads-up

Patreon is now displaying tier values with VAT (or any other applicable tax) included. The amount you are charged did not change - they're just making tax charges clearly visible from the beginning, as opposed to after you've picked your tier.No actions required. That is all; have an excellent day, and stay safe! <3

Hold my Coffee

Remember this piece? Here's that companion piece I said I'm considering. As part of our "We All Need Nice Things Right Now" protocol, I'm posting this in full size for all Patrons. <3Enjoy! :D

July 2020 Commission: Exotic massage

Goodness gracious me and good golly gosh gee do I enjoy making things with honey. Also very happy with the setting in this one. Tried another new technique (though nothing big this time), and another fairly new approach to lighting. Now I'm not sure whether the things I try are actually that new (might just be rarely used), or do I just push myself more to improve, but as long as the results are good, which I believe they are, I'm a happy...

I knew you'd like it

More experiments and attempts to improve! My workflow is changing nicely to one that lets me do more things with less worrying. I'll need that to go much further, but I'm on the right path. This feels great. ;3;Enjoy! :DFun fact: this piece is based on a horribly low quality photo that I took about 4 years ago in my town's railway station.

Slow down with me

In all this craziness that's going down, we all need a break. Or several. Stop for a moment. Sit down - or lie down - and contemplate. Nothing matters. Everything will pass.Enjoy. <3Tried a few new things here. Some worked, some didn't (and required fixing in postwork), and others were slow as heck to render. But the end result is lovely, and I've learned a thing or two making this, so it's all good.Posting this piece in full size...

Favorite spot

I haven't been particularly good at focusing lately, so instead of constantly making new pictures (or being socially active - sorry about that), I tried to focus on other art-related things. Like working on bits of my magnum opus (it's a BLOODY HUMONGOUS project), new characters, and most importantly learning new things and experimenting. This piece is a bit of a proof of concept of a couple of things I've learned recently, and an att...

tchai stop that nonsense already: suddenly a goblin popped out

It all began in the far away date of about a month ago, when suddenly I felt a very powerful urge to maybe consider making something small and green and cute and thicc. And since then, nothing has been the same, except for everything that happens in general. Then, weeks passed, and the urge to consider has became an urge to make. Then I think a friend sent me some cute goblin pics, by sheer coincidence, and that was the end of me. But, since all ...

June 2020 Commission: Big boye

Their description of these changes is a bit convoluted, but it boils...

Maybe she's born with it

...maybe it's just being long.A birthday gift for a dear friend of mine, whose character this doggo is. Her name is Ellie, and she is a borzoi.I am unable to get over that fur. ;a; I've learned so much while making this char.By tradition, I'm posting this intro piece in full size for literally everyone.Enjoy! :D

May 2020 Commission: Cake pop

It's a terrible pun, and I am glad I was asked to make it. For those of us who live outside of the wonderland known as the USA, a cake pop is this ridiculous idea. Yes, it's literally a tiny piece of cake on a stick. No, I don't know why.Mine's better. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)Enjoy! :D

Honeyed beans

Just like mum used to make! Or not. For bloody shame innit.Anyway, here's my entry for Bear Day 2020.Enjoy! :D

Got some Cake on hand?

In case you didn't know, she's a finger puppet. Or a hand puppet. Could also be a paw puppet. Or a dildo warmer. Either way, you have some Cake on your finger. I'll never tire of using her name for puns.Enjoy! :DP.S. Thinking about making an analogous piece with Coffee. Just, you know, not lewd.
