Speakeasy Viz Dev
Some of the steps in working out the speakeasy design for the animation project.For story/clarity purposes, the layout needed to be revisited. We decided it was also a good opportunity to give the place a bit of a face-lift, with some added emphasis on cave formations, lighting, and an elevation change to lend the stage more grandeur.
Character Design - Mordecai
A glimpse at some of the steps involved in arriving at Mordecai's look for the animation project (contributions from Fable, Tai and I). Each of the characters appearing in the short film are going through this process of trying to distill them down to their quintessential parts, finding the rhythm of their shapes, emphasizing what sets them apart and landing on something that's animatable on a technical level.
