Jtreoncast 3

I didn't plan on making this a Toriyama tribute episode, but I spend the first 5 minutes talking about how much he truly influenced me in more depth. I then go on to talk about my Selena as Super-Nova concept I pitched last week for a bit.

Vegeta's Rage

This moment where Cell is attacked by Vegeta after he shoots Trunks has always been my favorite Vegeta moment because it was the first instance of Vegeta fighting for somebody other than himself.I know we like to say that he only truly began fighting for others during Majin Buu, but I think this was the first real time he was attacking in blind fury for somebody else that he loved deep down, even if he didn't want to show it. Ultimately, the ...

Gohan's Ascension

I was deep into watching DBZ on toonami every day after school and during the Cell Games it was at it's peak with me. I was so anxious on what would happen and once Gohan ascended and became SS2, I knew right then that this was definitely gonna be my favorite show.I grew up with the old funimation dub where Stephanie Nadolny played Gohan and so her voice is who I always hear anytime I see young Gohan.I have all the love in the world for Colle...

Chrono

Growing up a Sega Genesis kid, I never got to experience Chrono Trigger when it was new, but I think that same holds true for most people I know since, from what I gather, it was a rare game at the time? I could be confusing it with Earthbound, but I don't remember hearing about the game until I was in my final year of high school where I, of course, emulated it on my old laptop with my Mystic Gohan wallpaper. It was a good time and I also und...

Big Green

He wasn't the first villain in DB that Goku ended up reforming, but in my opinion, he was possibly the most interesting. I understand most people prefer Vegeta, but Piccolo legitimately had a very interesting character progression through Dragon Ball.

The Icon of Anime

Goku is really just who you think of when you think of anime. So much so that anytime I introduce any new kind of anime to my family, my mother just calls the lead character Goku. It's really ridiculous just how iconic Goku is. A genius creation by Mr. Toriyama

Akira Toriyama Celebration of Life

Today, I’m going to draw Dragon Ball characters I love to celebrate Mr. Toriyama’s life. Whatever I planned on drawing today doesn’t matter, I love DBZ and I want to pay tribute to the man who inspired me and you too. Won’t you join me in celebrating him? Tell me your favorite Toriyama character and I’ll sketch them today.

Loss for words. RIP Mr. Toriyama.

By now I know everybody's seen the news that Akira Toriyama has passed away. I'm currently struggling to form thoughts into words. I've probably rewritten this post at least 20 times and I still don't even know what to say.Rather than focus on how I feel right now, I'd rather think about the worlds he allowed me to get lost in. Be it Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest, Blue Dragon, or Dr. Slump, he's given me some of the most inspi...

Jtreoncast 2

Another week means another Jtreoncast for everybody.Today's episode I talk about DK64 a bit, why I like short manga chapters, ideas regarding Elena and Selena as well as gushing about Rex's transformation, and possibly changing up an idea I suggested in last week's episode.Just under 10 minutes like I promised.
