You Give Me The Questions, I'll Give You The Answers!

Hey everyone, hope things are starting to get a little closer to "normal" again for you. Before the summer is out, make sure to commit at least one irresponsible and semi-illegal act, like drunkenly piss out into the middle of a street at 10 O'Clock at night... just wear a mask while doing it and everything will be ok!SO, I'm compiling more questions for "Patreon Goes Postal" and "Advice Patreon Asked For". For Pat...

EARLY ACCESS: Advice No One Asked For - Number Forty

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/KInjWe0btG8Originally I was going to do a more topical video this week, but last week's video was a little more "serious", so I thought "how about I change it up with some summer fun!?" So, it's a special summer edition of Advice No One Asked For, and you get it a day earlier than the rest of my audience! Here's the description:It's Summer, and there are two things on everyone's min...

Bonus #26 - Richard Rose: A Denier To The End (Extra Dose)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/TyO-UX6XCuoSometimes a story comes up and I just can't wait to share it with you. I had a completely different piece of bonus content planned for this week (as well as an announcement of an upcoming project) but then this story came out, and I wanted to talk about it. Enjoy this "Extra Dose", yet another new feature for Patreon subscribers (it's just pretty much a full length Dose, but exclusive to sup...

EARLY ACCESS: Netflix: Saving Us From Racism

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/_QX9FlBP4T8Good afternoon Patreon supporters! It's time for your exclusive early look at this weekend's video. I totally expect this one to generate a little controversy, but I'll let you be the judge. Here's the description:As companies push and shove each other to get to the front of the line to be the first to apologize for their past actions, Netflix has removed "racist" episodes of TV show...

Bonus #25 - YouTube Ads & Sponsored Content (ft. Jason!)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/7YL2cshu0i4Good ol' YouTube ads. There's more ads now than ever (even though content creators claim they're making less and less money from them). In this microDOSE (that's definitely longer than a microDOSE is supposed to be!) I break down who's responsible for the amount of ads on each video, as well as why Sponsored Content in videos is always in the worst place and always so fake sounding. But ...

EARLY ACCESS: Scumbags of the Internet - Koffee Karen

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/WoIHyzXj9dcHappy 4th of July Weekend to my American friends! This weekend's video is somewhat fitting, as it deals with freedoms, but mostly just deals with a woman who threatened to call the cops if she couldn't get a coffee. Here's the description from YouTube:It's the first Scumbags of the Internet episode in 3 years, as Doc Buckley looks at a woman in California who, like many Americans, aren't...

Bonus #24 - Looney Tunes: Victims of Gun Control?! (microDOSE)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/O7eVDSS-ZaIAnother week, and another bonus video for those of you supporting this channel! This is one of my favorite videos I've made in a while, and really embodies what I'm trying to do with the "microDOSE" concept: Not a ton of explanation, just "here's the story, here's some jokes about it". And for my American supporters who are also 2A advocates, before you dismiss this video as ...

EARLY ACCESS: Musical Autopsy: Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande - Rain On Me

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/D4h4YoZT0cAIt's Friday, and it's time for your first look at this weekend's video, an all new Musical Autopsy! Here's the description from the video:Doc Buckley puts "Rain On Me" on the autopsy table. Lady Gaga's back, and true to form, she's going against the norm... but when the norm lately has been slow ballad-y snoozefests, and when 2020 has been depressing enough without the music ...

Bonus #23 - Patreon Goes Postal #4

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/nXsqXlFpwy8Buckley's back with more answers to your questions! Find out Buckley's views on prostitution, whether he'd prefer to be a vampire or werewolf (but with some medical issues), collaboration videos, career paths, which God he'd like to meet, and more!Have you got questions for me? Feel free to put them in the replies of this video, and they may appear in the next edition of Patreon Goes Postal....

EARLY ACCESS: Animal Crossing and Expectations of Video Games

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/mPD-TjjFeaEIt's Friday, and it's time for your early look at this weekend's Dose! Here's the description from YouTube:The newest Animal Crossing game has been a massive success for Nintendo, and has dominated video game news for the last few months with updates, memes, and opinion pieces. But several months after it's release, people are complaining they're bored of the game... which raises the...

Bonus #22 - YouTube Autopsy

As promised, it's a DOUBLE bonus this week (if you missed it yesterday, you got a brand new, exclusive episode of "Advice Patreon Asked For")! For those of you who have never seen this, or who may have lost it, or who bought it years ago but didn't figure out that with Bandcamp you had to download all of the files to actually see it... It's YouTube Autopsy! The backstory behind this: I did this as a live presentation at Forest ...

Bonus #21 - Advice Patreon Asked For #4

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/zXFl3zKTPxUReal questions from real subscribers! It's another edition of Advice Patreon Asked For (now uploaded privately to YouTube instead to make it easier to listen to without having to come to Patreon first). Here's the description:In this fourth edition of Advice Patreon Asked For, Buckley helps out paying subscribers who are having trouble with noisy roommates (and dates who like to be heard, if you get...

EARLY ACCESS: Dose #311 - Incels are Terrorists in Canada

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/GQ_3_MfDLYMIt's Friday at Noon (my time), and it's time for your 24 hour early-access look at the weekend Dose! As always, here's the description:Canada recently made the decision to charge an Incel (a person who identifies with the "involuntary celibate, someone who would like to have relations with a woman but can't) with a terrorism charge after murdering a woman at a "massage parlor", d...

Bonus #20 - OnlyFans Girls: Having a Rough Time

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/qiFTwXioz2cIt's the mid-week Patreon bonus video! So, I AM going to release this one as a mid-week video at some point this month to the main channel, but you guys are getting at least a full week's early access to it, and whatever week I release it I'll also release an extra piece of bonus content here for you guys. Here's the video description:Everyone's having a tough go during the pandemic, and...

EARLY ACCESS: The Five Worst Songs of 1996

YOUTUBE LINK: https://youtu.be/SdF4N5FpNsgA little inside story for you on this one as an extra bonus: I had actually written down the idea to do this video about 4 years ago. I wrote down one song in a Word document (#4 on the list), and "The Five Worst Songs of 1996". I already had an idea for the concept (this time, maybe it wouldn't be a "relative" doing the list, I would have been, what, 15 by that point?), and some ideas...

BONUS #19: Inside the Bottle: The Time "Portugal. The Man" Solicited Buckley

YOUTUBE LINK: https://youtu.be/l34DE8SWx8MWell everyone, it's June, and I just want to say thank you for your continued support as we head into the weirdest summer in living history. This week's bonus video isn't so much a "video", since all of my screenshots for this have been lost to time (and a hard drive crash a couple years ago) but I felt it would be easier to put it on YouTube than just use the audio option here. Here&#...

EARLY ACCESS: YouTube Support: Completely Useless

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/1GLjP459E4kEvery year or so, I usually do that one "bite the hand that feeds" video talking about my behind-the-scenes experiences with YouTube as a platform, and as we get close to 2020 being half over (yeah, can you believe that? We're 1 month away from the halfway point) I figured it was about that time. Enjoy a look at my dealings with YouTube's support team, AND enjoy it 24 hours earlier than ever...

Bonus #18 - PETA vs Animal Crossing (microDOSE)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/0Ij5zFXdXKETime for another bonus microDOSE! From the YouTube description:PETA isn't happy that a video game character is running a museum full of fish, and posted a video of their "protest" online demanding that Blathers from Animal Crossing "empty the tanks". If PETA finds out you're having fun, they'll find a way to ruin it...

EARLY ACCESS: Kim Kardashian - Mother of the Millennium

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/kId7rAgJub4It's Friday, and it's new video time! Here's the description for this weekend's Dose, which you're now enjoying 24 hours before the rest of my audience:Kim Kardashian is just like you.. you know, like how you're a multi-millionaire who has been on lockdown in your giant mansion with your family, still making money by taking photos of yourself on the Internet? Yes! So you can understa...

Merch! Finally?

One of the rewards I had set for the "OVERDose" tier was that, if I were to release merchandise, you'd get it "at cost" (meaning I make no profit off it, it's just whatever TeeSpring would have charged me to make the item). WELL, I've finally got my first round of merchandise set up and ready for orders... and what a great time for it too, right?! No, I know it's not, but here's the great news: since it's t...

Bonus #17: Chrysler Cares... About Getting Your Cash (microDOSE)

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/ScbtkeEhNJgIf we all thought advertising couldn't get any more annoying, I guess we never anticipated how bad it would get during a pandemic. Apparently every company "cares" about me and "has my safety as their top priority". Did they not before? Well, Chrysler REALLY cares, they know "better days are ahead" and are offering to get you back on the road with a great deal. Except... are thes...

EARLY ACCESS: Buckley's Breakdown: Quibi

BEFORE I FORGET: I'm streaming tonight (Friday, May 15th) on Twitch ( twitch.tv/DoseofBuckley ) at 7pm Eastern. A lot more informal than "A Dose of Buckley LIVE", I'll be taking calls on Discord about pretty much whatever, playing some games, whatever. I'll probably also be on there for longer than an hour, so check in throughout the night if you can't be there at the beginning.THE WEEKEND VIDEO: Because there weren't ...

Bonus #16 - Patreon Goes Postal #3

Hey everyone, it's bonus video time! I've normally been releasing these on Wednesdays, but then I feel like all of the content stacks up toward the end of the week (Wednesday with a bonus video, Friday with your Early Access video), so I'm hoping this feels more evenly spread out. It's another 20+ minutes of me answering questions. These are a lot of fun to do, and I still have a lot of questions left over from the last one, but i...

EARLY ACCESS: Musical Autopsy: The Police - Don't Stand So Close To Me [COLD CASE]

Well Patreon, I promised this about 2 months ago, but finally my very first Musical Autopsy: COLD CASE is ready, and you get to be the first to watch it! The 1980 produced, 1981 hit song "Don't Stand So Close to Me" has had a little surge in popularity due to "these uncertain times" and the hook that urges people to social distance (har har), but what about the rest of the lyrics?

EARLY ACCESS: Brand Loyalty to BUTTER?! (Land O Lakes)

You know, with everything "shut down" it still seems like there's a lot of great stupid news stories still happening. This one may have slipped through your social media feeds of people complaining they can't get their hair cut and storming Baskin Robbins while armed, but apparently some people were pretty upset about a change to the packaging of "their" butter. Did you know there are "Land O Lakes Families"? Why a...

EARLY ACCESS: Drake's Toosie Slide: Reviving Ringtone Rap?

It's May! Time to bust out your Justin Timberlake memes! So, let me start by saying that you have no idea how much I appreciate your continued support, this has been far more successful than I could have ever hoped. I have some videos planned for this month that I hope you'll enjoy, including the first ever Musical Autopsy: Cold Case, and the return of "Buckley's Breakdown" (you like when I review music, what about if I review...

Bonus #15 - Advice Patreon Asked For #3

I'm back with 3 more brave souls willing to actually ask me for advice after the verbal beating I've given other advice-seekers all these years. It's Advice Patreon Asked For, featuring someone who's struggling to actually take full advantage of their open relationship, a person who wants to figure out how to end a family tradition they're not too fond of, and a casual weed smoker who's been given an ultimatum by their par...

EARLY ACCESS: Dose #306 - Radio Disney: Protecting Children? Or Parents?

This is a video I've wanted to do for a really long time but didn't entirely know how to approach it until recently. Radio Disney is one of the most bizarre stations out there to me for a number of reasons (which I won't spoil here, watch the video!) and hopefully you'll enjoy this look at what I think is maybe Disney's weakest offering. As always, you guys get it a good 24 hours (usually ends up being like 28 hours) before th...

Bonus #14 - You Are Not Special (an Audiobook by Buckley)

As promised, I have a second Patreon bonus for you this week. From my Bandcamp site, it's probably my favorite piece of premium content I ever created: a short story titled "You Are Not Special". Formatted as a sort of "children's book for adults", a boy who is told he's special every day of his life is shown his unremarkable future by a mysterious being. Enjoy!

Bonus #13 - Baking with Buckley: Mug Cake

Well LOOK WHAT'S BACK! That's right, Buckley returns to the kitchen for "Baking with Buckley" in this Patreon semi-exclusive to show you how to make a mini-cake-for-one out of all that stuff you panic-bought a few weeks ago that's now sitting in your cupboard. And why am I wearing a suit in the thumbnail? Well... watch the video to find out! This one's going to be a timed exclusive, I'm going to probably give it to ever...
