I had a really interesting source of British troop deaths in African conflicts through the 1800s but I've misplaced it. gasp. Regardless, even the most conservative estimates show that infectious disease killed double the amount who died in battle. fun! I recall my old source saying that yearly the English lost about half their number of troops to disease in the region.

Oh thank god, they are fucking again finally.Had the good fortune of meeting a native Irish speaker recently who will be helping do some translation stuff of the bits I have so far, in the future (hopefully).
